Evaluation
4 of 5
At 6'5", 265 pounds, Simmons is built more like a defensive end than a tackle, but he will be even more of a disruptive force in the middle of the defensive line.
Simmons played defensive end in high school and he does need to add some weight to reach his full potential at tackle in college.
What Simmons Means To North Carolina
5 of 5
With all the losses that the 'Heels have had on defense between the agent scandal and graduation, Simmons will help UNC's D-line depth immensely.
UNC is known for its big, mean defensive line. Simmons is just another big-time prospect in a long line of Tar Heels linemen.
With returning DT Quinton Coples and incoming JUCO recruit Sylvester Williams, UNC's line appears to be ready to continue the UNC defensive line tradition.
