National Signing Day: Which Recruits Announcing on Signing Day Will Choose USC?
The Men of Troy have established themselves as a recruiting juggernaut year in and year out.
From polarizing former head coach Pete Carrol to the tactical recruiting methods of Lane Kiffin, USC has landed top recruit after top recruit for the past decade.
This year figures to be no different.
Although fighting heavy sanctions levied by the NCAA, USC still is in the running for some of the nation's top prep football stars.
Let's check out who USC can expect to land Feb. 2.
Marqise Lee
1 of 7
Lee, an athletic 6'1", 190 lbs. safety out of USC pipeline Serra (Calif.) High School is down to USC and Miami.
USC has made a late charge led by former Trojan assistant Brennan Carrol, son of former USC head man Pete Carrol.
Lee visited Miami this past weekend and also is considering Oregon and Cal.
With teammate George Farmer already in the Troy fold, and former teammate Robert Woods gaining freshman All-American honors at USC this past season, Trojan fans should expect to land Lee soon enough.
Lamar Dawson
2 of 7
Dawson, the 6'2", 230 lbs. linebacker from Kentucky, has USC right in the thick of the race to land him.
Dawson took a visit to USC and liked his experience in Los Angeles. He felt comfortable on campus and around the players.
Dawson is being recruited by the Trojans as a SAM linebacker, yet he's versatile enough to play MIKE or WILL as well.
He's still a bit skeptical about living in a big city, but his trip was overall a positive one, aided by current USC defensive end Nick Perry.
Erique Florence
3 of 7
Florence, also being recruited by Auburn, Arkansas and Alabama, lists USC as a finalist in his top four.
While many consider Florence an Auburn lean, Florence's mother has stated in the past that she wants him to leave home for college.
USC is the farthest school from Florence's home, and the Trojans are hot after the 6'2", 190 lbs. safety.
Could USC's long distance from Florence actually work in their favor? Stay tuned.
Junior Pomee
4 of 7
Pomee was a one-time UCLA commit, then decided to re-open his eligibility.
USC is no stranger to taking away UCLA commits. Years ago, Marvin Simmons was a 5-star linebacker, who dropped his initial commitment to UCLA to go to USC instead.
Simmons never made it to Troy, failing to qualify academically. Eventually he landed at Kansas State.
Pomee is a 6'3", 210 lbs. receiver with great size, strength and solid speed. Florida and Arizona also are recruiting Pomee.
Aundrey Walker
5 of 7
Walker comes from an Ohio State pipeline high school, Glenville Academy, in Ohio. He has not committed to the Buckeyes yet.
Many feel he will eventually land in Columbus, but he still has interest in Florida State, Wisconsin, Michigan State and USC.
6'5" and 355 lbs., Walker is considered one of the top guard prospects in the country.
It is no secret how dire USC is in need of offensive line depth.
Cyrus Hobbi
6 of 7
Hobbi is another talented guard prospect the Trojans desperately want and need.
Hobbi stands at 6'4" and 285 lbs. and could play center in college.
He is down to USC, UCLA and Arizona State, visiting USC earlier this month during a huge recruiting weekend hosted by the Trojan coaching staff.
Christian Heyward
7 of 7
Heyward of Point Loma high school, which is in the San Diego area, is a 6'2" 270 lbs. defensive tackle.
He has the tools of a great three-technique or even a strongside defensive end.
Heyward, who is being recruited by USC's Ed Orgeron and linebackers coach Joe Barry, has visited USC, UCLA, Oregon and will visit hometown San Diego State this weekend.
