Brady Hoke Keeps Jumping Over Hurdles—Recruiting Next
When Brady Hoke got hired at Michigan, there were some pretty clear short term objectives in front of him.
No. 1: Keep Denard Robinson
No. 2: Hire a high profile DC to turn around the defense
No. 3: Finish this recruiting class
Current Status:
No. 1: Completed
No. 2: Completed
No. 3: Underway
Yes, Michigan has had some losses on the recruiting trail this month. Both 5-star recruits (yes, they are 5-star now), Dee Hart and Kris Frost, went to teams in Alabama, but the tide is starting to turn.
Michigan has a good list of visitors coming in this weekend and Hoke is in more locations than Waldo lately. He got his first commitment today from a DB in Ohio and it looks like there could be more good news coming in the next two weeks.
Here Are Some of the Visitors Expected this Weekend:
Justice Hayes, RB, 4-star and has a strong commitment to Michigan.
Raymon Taylor, DB, 4-star and a soft commitment to Indiana. He's an in-state guy who loves the Wolverines. He looks good for a commitment this weekend or next.
Tony Posada, OL, 3-star and a soft commitment to Michigan. He was strong until the coaching change. Michigan coaches have been down to see him and many think he will go back to "solid" this weekend.
Frank Clark, TE, 3-star from Glenville. Michigan has been on him for a while and he's having a visit with the new coaches this weekend.
Hoke Effect:
Matt Wile, K, Army All-American from San Diego. Hoke has been recruiting him for some time and his family has a long history with Michigan. Looks great here.
Stefan McClure, DB, 4-star player from California. Strong relationship with Hoke.
Leilon Willingham, LB, 4-star and is committed to Texas A&M. He was supposed to take his official trip to A&M this weekend. He cancelled that trip to come to Ann Arbor.
On a side note: I wonder if Kris Frost is rethinking Auburn with the Greg Mattison hire. His love for Michigan and a guy who coached Ray Lewis should at least give him a second thought about going to Auburn. I am not counting on it, but it would be nice.
