Walker-Sports College Football Pick'em: Week One Results

Dumont WalkerSep 11, 2008

With Week Two of the college football season already upon us, it is time to take a look back at the Walker-Sports College Football Pick’em results from Week One.  Not only do we talk the talk, we make sure that we know how to walk the walk.  Any pick made here is always backed up with results.

Last week we discussed six games in total, and I am proud to say that Walker-Sports won four out of six games straight up, and three out of six games against the spread.   Let’s take a look at the results.

Miami 3 vs. Florida 26

Slow start for the Gators, but Tim Tebow pulled them out and covered the spread.

Ga Tech 19 vs. Boston College 16

We picked Boston College to win straight up and we were wrong, but we did have Ga. Tech covering the seven-point spread, and we won that bet.  We’ll take that to the bank.

Oklahoma 52 vs. Cincinnati 26

Cincinnati almost had enough firepower to cover the 22-point spread but in the end just couldn’t get over the mountain.  But at least we picked the winner.

Michigan 16 vs. Miami (OH) 3

Michigan got the win, but they just didn’t have enough in the tank to get the one more point needed to cover that 14-point spread.  I have a feeling that could be a trend for the Wolverines this season.

East Carolina 24 vs. West Virginia 3

Well, sometimes you’re just wrong.  This is a good example of one of those times.

Penn St. 45 vs. Oregon St. 14

PSU made this one look easy.   All around victories here.
