AC Milan January Transfer: Who Else For The Rossoneri?
After the signing of forward Antonio Cassano from Sampdoria and cutting ties with Ronaldinho, AC Milan still look to bring in more talent and depth to their team.
Already in first place, the Rossoneri want to make sure it stays that way and what better way then to add more talent to your team. On the other side they have been rumored to transfer out some players too.
Here are the 5 players that could be brought in or leave the San Siro.
Gareth Bale, Midfielder, Tottenham

Three clubs in Serie A and Real Madrid want to sign Bale according to the his agent. One of those Serie A clubs is, in fact, AC Milan.
Bale would add more depth to the midfield at the San Siro. Not only that he would add more youth to the tremendously aging midfield for Milan.
The Welsh midfielder is a spectacular young midfielder and can only get better. Only problem with Bale is the injuries he sustained earlier in his career (knee and ankle injuries).
Although it looks like it hasn't slowed him down this season Bale is still playing pretty well on a Tottenham team that is fourth in the EPL and is set to face Milan in the Champions League on February 15th.
Just think how weird would it be for him to be wearing the red and black versus his former team just a month later?
Vincent Kompany, Defender, Manchester City

Without Ronaldinho this deal gets a little bit harder.
Numerous outlets have reported that AC Milan wants to make a move for the Belgian defender. He has had a great season and could be a bargain steal for Milan.
But his value could go up without a Ronaldinho to switch for him.
Mario Balotelli, Forward, Manchester City
3 of 5
Yet another Man City player but this one seems more of a challenge now. AC Milan just brought in another forward, Antonio Cassano.
So to add another one would add more depth but really their stable of forwards is getting quite crowded at the San Siro.
Balotelli doesn't like his life at Man City and wants to play back in Italy, especially for his boyhood team of AC Milan.
But in all honesty is that really enough to make AC Milan bring him in?
Alexandre Pato, Forward, AC Milan
4 of 5
He's often injured but he is a spectacular footballer when he is on the pitch.
Pato has been rumored to leave the San Siro, possibly for the aforementioned Mario Balotelli.
If Pato were to leave the San Siro it looks like it would be for Balotelli but, he has also been linked to Chelsea. Apparently, Chelsea have made a £25.5 million for the Brazilian striker. A move to Chelsea would put him with former boss and AC Milan manager, Carlo Ancelotti.
If he does leave, that stable just got a little more open for Balotelli, especially if it's a swap of the two young stars.
Erik Lamela, Forward, River Plate
5 of 5
A player who has been sought after is Lamela.
Another long shot to be signed to the San Siro, Lamela has drawn comparisons to Barcelona great, Lionel Messi.
River Plate has an €18 million price tag on the up-coming star from Argentina. Milan low-balled the Argentine club with a €12 million offer but, of course, River Plate will stick to their price tag for this player.
No one can predict his future but, he has been able to draw comparisons to the great Messi assuring that the big clubs, will certainly take a look and chase after him. That includes the Rossoneri.
