Elimination Chamber 2011: Analyzing RAW's 6 Possible Stars for Satan's Structure
With 2010 behind us and 2011 in full swing it is now time to look forward to the future and what it has in store for us.
The Elimination Chamber has been scheduled exclusively to WWE pay-per-view events and debuted at Survivor Series 2002 at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 17, 2002.
Since the inaugural match, there have been ten other matches (eleven overall) as of Elimination Chamber (2010) on February 21, 2010. The Raw brand has been featured in the most matches, with seven; ECW has been featured twice, including its joint-branded match with SmackDown.
The SmackDown brand has been featured 3 times including the joint-branded match with ECW. No Way Out has featured more Elimination Chamber matches than any other pay-per-view, with four. Triple H holds the distinction of being involved in the most number of Elimination Chamber matches to date, with six and the most number of victories, with four.
Except for the 2008 matches which were fought for championship matches, each match has been contested for the top-tier WWE championship, with the World Heavyweight Championship (WWE) being fought for the most in five matches. The match has been contested only in indoor arenas in the United States and once in Puerto Rico.
Since 2008, the match has been featured in February pay-per-view events.
The Champion: The Miz
1 of 7
The Miz will not drop the title at the Rumble!
Dozens of articles were uploaded on this site about the titles recent change in hands and I deliberately kept my opinion to myself on the matter as one side of the IWC are continuously bashing him and the others are hopeful.
After Sheamus' and Swagger's poor World Title runs, it is very hard to guess what WWE will do with The Miz.
There is no doubt that he is a top heel and has decent in-ring skills that are definitely improving. The friendship with Cole adds a bit to the Miz's gimmick as well.
I think Miz has all the props to make a successful World Champion, but I would love to see him as a babyface.
Not the Cena-type, I would love to see him like TNA Mr Anderson, not respected and very selfish, but the fans love him.
I think this would suit the Miz but knowing WWE he will remain a heel and sadly get buried like Swagger, Sheamus, Bourne or anyone who has had a recent push in WWE.
Challenger #1: John Morrison
2 of 7
John Morrison is very talented and definitely deserves a lot of spotlight for what he does in the ring and some day, I do believe it will come because all good workers are rewarded by WWE no matter how late in their career it is (Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and JBL) or how early you are rewarded (Randy Orton and Jack Swagger) but the good ones do always seem to get the acknowledgement they rightfully deserve.
Morrison and Miz have a long history and their battles are always tight and unpredictable.
John Morrison has a very unique style of wrestling and we have never seen him in an Elimination Chamber match, so I think it is going to be brilliantly entertaining for all of us.
John Morrison was on SmackDown a year or two ago and we all know the story there...
Maybe if he is on SmackDown he would be running around with the World Title by now, but he is not on SmackDown!
Challenger #2: Randy Orton
3 of 7
This addition should come as no shock whatsoever.
The viper is still in the title picture at this point in time and that is very doubtful to change.
Randy Orton has had an amazing 2011 and considering all the key departures and injuries to Cena, I would not be surprised if he won the Chamber and ended Miz's Reign.
I like Miz's time as Champion but I think the treatment that Sheamus or Swagger got will be the same. However, at times I wish it was not.
Orton and The Miz will most likely be the last two in the ring and will battle it out for the title and I would assume Randy would win as WWE will want too maintain his popularity.
They may even want to improve it!
Challenger #3: The Great Khali
4 of 7
I know some of you readers are probably looking at your screens right now and either laughing or being outraged.
But, I am working on the assumption that Khali has returned as a heel and wants to work on his promise of capturing the world title.
WWE are high on the Punjabi Playboy.
As well as that fact, every year we see a mid-card addition to the match.
For example, in past years, we have seen the likes of Kofi Kingston, Mike Knox, Ted DiBiase, R-Truth, Finlay as well as Carlito and former heel Chris Masters.
All I will say is don't be to surprised to see the Giant in the chamber!
Challenger #4: King Sheamus
5 of 7
The Celtic Warrior has had a very odd year (in 2010) winning and losing World Titles, Winning the King of the Ring and then losing to the likes of Orton, Cena, Marella, Morrison and even more.
Sheamus should have a pretty solid 2011 if Triple H returns to feud with him and that is succesful.
Challenger #5: Triple H
6 of 7
Triple H is one of the biggest names in sports and entertainment and considering WWE have lost so many big names in the past couple of months it would be no major shock to see WWE rush a Triple H return.
Trips is currently working behind the scenes in the WWE and apparently doing very well but at his current, you would assume that WWE would not tempt him with an easy retirement when he still has so much to offer.
I would strongly doubt Vince or the creative team will have him inactive for much longer.
So I predict (and have predicted in other article) that Triple H will return at the Rumble. But, not as an entrant!
He will return to cost Sheamus the one thing that matters to Sheamus... Glory!
Triple H will return and last-minute eliminate Sheamus to re-spark the much-anticipated feud.
If Sheamus and Triple H are going to be members in the Elimination Chamber then it will most likely meet in a singles match at WrestleMania.
Conclusion.

I know many of you are probably thinking where is CM Punk and John Cena?
Well I just think that they will be to wrapped up in each other and all this Nexus.
Do you agree with my six for the Chamber? Is there anyone who you would take out and anyone else you would put in, in place?
Thanks for reading, Jonny Cooney!
