After a long recruiting battle between Ohio State and Michigan State, cornerback Doran Grant of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School committed to Ohio State at the Under Armour All-America Game.
For the Buckeye coaching staff, Grant was arguably the most vital player left on the board, as the Buckeyes are set to lose a siginifcant amount of players from their defensive backfield this year.

Grant is far from a great pick-up simply because of his position though, he is a 5-star recruit. Not only is he is one of the top two or three players in the state of Ohio, but Grant is ranked as one the best defensive backs in the country.

Although, at 5'11" and 175 pounds, Grant's size and statistics are not exactly jaw-dropping, Grant has some serious skills. In fact, he has been receiving lots of praise from the recruiting services this last week in practice for tonight's game.
Another recruit, cornerback Jabari Gorman, also announced tonight, but chose the FLorida Gators over the Buckeyes and Miami Hurricanes. While Grant is a better prospect and a bigger get, it sure would have been nice to see them in scarlet and gray together.
Still a big night for The Ohio State University, and we won't have to see #TresselCantClose as a trending topic on Twitter.
