Premier League Showdown, Arsenal vs. Chelsea: Arsenal To Beat Chelsea, 3-1
Last time around, we saw an Arsenal team without their top two men, Fabregas and Van Persie. This time around, their back, and so is Chelsea's talisman Frank Lampard, to join them. In October, Didier Drogba again got the better of Arsenal to strike in Chelsea's first goal. Alex then finished off the night with a stunning free kick to let Arsenal go home again, loosing to Chelsea.
Since then, Arsenal have come back strong, however a recent defeat to Man Utd will question their ability to beat Chelsea. Most the fans seem to be optimistic as injuries are below par for Arsenal. Chelsea on the other hand have not managed a win in five. Which leads to the question.
Can Arsenal finally end their loosing streak against the top two?
Yes.
It's time (really this time) for them to step up a gear, and end the curse which has stuck to them for a long time; too long.
The players seem to be coming together at the right time, and with injuries not affecting Arsenal (too much) it finally seems like the time is right for Arsenal to come out on top against Chelsea.
Frenchman Samir Nasri, seems to have come out into the sun, this season, and his sublime form is sure to have some worry on Chelsea's midfield and defence. However with Fabregas back, will the Spanish maestro, capture the attention on the day.
There are two slight concerns Arsene has to think about. Who does he play in goal? and, Does he start with Van Persie or the ever crucial Chamakh?
Against Man Utd, Sczesny started in goal, and proved as one of the high points of the night for them. With Fabianski back from injury, Will Wenger give Sczesny another change, or will he play safe with Fabianski.
The other concern, is Chamakh or Van Persie. RVP hasn't been at best this season as he has come back from injury, while Chamakh has taken most his chances with a lot of playing time. It would also give Cheslea something new to think about as Chamakh has the height factor which Arsenal have been missing in recent times.
I don't think from an Arsenal point we have to talk about Chelsea too much, the recent results speak for themselves, with Lampard or not.
This is the chance Arsenal have been waiting for a long time now, and if they can't take this game away with a victory, then I don't know what Arsenal's future holds.
