NFL Picks Week 15: Predictions For Every NFL Game; Will the 49ers Win?
Here are my NFL Picks for Week 14.
You'll see some interesting selections, including my thoughts on whether the San Francisco 49ers can keep their playoff hopes alive with a win over the San Diego Chargers.
Also, will the Saints beat the Ravens? Will the Eagles knock off the Giants?
Find out my predictions on those games and much more.
Note, this week has several games that have major playoff implications, so be sure to tune in.
Last Week: 12-4
Cumulative Season Record: 125-83 (.601)
San Francisco 49ers (5-8) @ San Diego Chargers
1 of 16
Winner: San Diego Chargers
The San Francisco 49ers are not only less talented statistically, but they're 1-5 on the road. Unfortunately, for the red and gold I just don't see it happening for them this week.
This game will be broadcast at 8:20 P.M. EST on NFL Network on Thursday Night Football.
Note: The Chargers won 34-7. I predicted a final score of 27-17 in my Quick Hits.
Detroit Lions (3-9) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-5)
2 of 16
Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Statistically speaking, these two teams are rather comparable.
However, the determining factor will be the fact that the Detroit Lions haven't won a game on the road since 2007.
This game will be broadcast at 1:00 P.M. EST on FOX.
Philadelphia Eagles (9-4) @ New York Giants (9-4)
3 of 16
Winner: New York Giants
Honestly, I think the New York Giants are one of the more underrated teams in the NFL.
Their offense is potent and their defense is stout enough to contain MIchael Vick & Co.
This game will be broadcast at 1:00 P.M. EST on FOX.
New Orleans Saints (10-3) @ Baltimore Ravens (6-4)
4 of 16
Winner: New Orleans Saints
The Saints are on a roll, and I see them continuing their strong play and winning this one.
This game will be broadcast agt 1:00 P.M. EST on FOX.
Arizona Cardinals (3-10) @ Carolina Panthers (1-12)
5 of 16
Winner: Carolina Panthers
Even though the Panthers have only one win on the season, I believe they're the more talented team of the two.
This game will be broadcast at 1:00 P.M. EST on FOX
Kansas City Chiefs (8-5) @ St. Louis Rams (6-7)
6 of 16
Winner: St. Louis Rams
Brodie Croyle can't win. Period.
Therefore, I expect the Rams to claim the victory and take sole possession of 1st place in the NFC West division.
However, if quarterback Matt Cassel can play I may change my mind.
This game will be broadcast 1:00 P.M. EST on CBS.
Buffalo Bills (3-9) @ Miami Dolphins (7-6)
7 of 16
Winner: Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins defense is simply too stout for the Bills.
This game will be broadcast at 1:00 P.M. EST on CBS.
Houston Texans (5-8) @ Tennessee Titans (5-8)
8 of 16
Winner: Houston Texans
Both of these squads have had their moments, but for the most part have been major disappointments this season.
However, I'm giving the Texans the edge because they not only have a lethal offense but their 6th ranked run defense should be able to contain Chris Johnson.
This game will be broadcast at 1:00 P.M. EST on CBS.
Jacksonville Jaguars (8-5) @ Indianapolis Colts (7-6)
9 of 16
Winner: Indianapolis Colts
On the both sides of the ball, the Colts are great in the passing game while the Jaguars are great in the running game.
This will be a prime example of why the aerial attack is more important than the ground game in the NFL today.
Plus, the Colts need this way too much to let is slip.
This game will be broadcast at 1:00 P.M. EST on CBS.
Washington Redskins (5-8) @ Dallas Cowboys (4-9)
10 of 16
Winner: Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys 7th best total offense should take full advantage of the Washington Redskins poor defense all game long, ultimately leading them to victory as the Jason Garrett magic continues.
This game will be broadcast at 1:00 P.M. EST on CBS.
Cleveland Browns (5-8) @ Cincinnati Bengals (2-11)
11 of 16
Winner: Cleveland Browns
Expect the Cleveland Browns to run the ball effectively, and play a stingy defense in terms of points allowed.
However, quarterback Jake Delhomme will be the true X-factor in this one.
This game will be broadcast at 1:00 P.M. EST on CBS.
Atlanta Falcons (11-2) @ Seattle Seahawks (6-7)
12 of 16
Winner: Atlanta Falcons
Is this even a competition?
This game will be broadcast at 4:05 P.M. EST on FOX.
New York Jets (9-4) @ Pitttsburgh Steelers (10-3)
13 of 16
Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers
Home field advantage could be the determining factor in this one.
This game will be broadcast at 4:15 P.M. EST on CBS.
Denver Broncos (3-10) @ Oakland Raiders (6-7)
14 of 16
Winner: Oakland Raiders
The Raiders have been a pleasant surprise this season, and I think they will fight to post their first non-losing season since 2002.
This game will be broadcast at 4:15 P.M. EST on CBS.
Green Bay Packers (8-5) @ New England Patriots (11-2)
15 of 16
Winner: New England Patriots
No Aaron Rodgers, equates no win.
This game will be broadcast at 8:20 P.M. EST on NBC Sunday Night Football.
Chicago Bears (9-4) @ Minnesota Vikings (5-8)
16 of 16
Winner: Chicago Bears
The Bears will need to bounce back from last week's game with a win here.
This game will be broadcast at 8:30 P.M. EST on Monday Night Football.
