CJGJ Says Patriots 'Didn't Do S--t Better Than Us' After Bills Loss, Shades Chism Despite GW TD

Buffalo Bills safety CJ Gardner-Johnson had plenty of thoughts on his team's 29-26 loss on Sunday and the one-handed touchdown reception from Efton Chism in the final two minutes that ultimately sealed the win.

"Listen, we're not going to get into no bulletin-board material," Gardner-Johnson told reporters before very much providing some bulletin-board material. "An elevated guy made a helluva catch. Probably won't hear from him again. Respectfully. And I say that with a lot of confidence because... [Drake Maye] didn't put his confidence in his best player. He would've thrown it to [Romeo] Doubs or something. But they won the game. Whatever. They didn't do s--t better than us. We gotta play better. And they can mark that. We'll be back to see them again at the end of the year, so they can have that same energy. And they put up, what, 20-something points? They barely scored, they struggled all game. A practice-squad player made a hell of a play."

Suggesting the Patriots struggled on offense after they put up 405 total yards of offense, 29 points and held 33:41 in time of possession was certainly a take. And taking shots at the player who came down with two crucial receptions on the game-winning drive was also a choice.

Nobody would be shocked if Chism wasn't a huge part of New England's offense going forward, especially when a player like AJ Brown gets healthy. But he certainly earned a bit more respect than Gardner-Johnson afforded him after the game.
