I Want It! The Best College Football Jobs Available in the Nation
With the college football offseason quickly approaching, coaching jobs are starting to present themselves to a various number of coaches around the nation.
If you were a coach, which job should you take?
It gets harder and harder every year to decide on which job is tops in the nation, and this year is offering a lot of uncertainty so far. So, in order to help out our confused college football coaches, let's evaluate the top positions open heading into this offseason.
1. University of Florida

With the breaking news today that Urban Meyer is stepping down (this time for real), Florida becomes the most wanted coaching job in the land.
Ignore the poor season in the record books and look at reality. Whichever coach gets hired here inherits a program with some of the best recent history (if not the best) in college football. The coach will be paid oodles amounts of money and endorsement deals, and will have the opportunity to enhance his own record by winning a lot more games (presumably).
The fan support is great and the football team already has a lot of young talent on it for the coach to develop in the future.
Plus, not many other coaching opportunities will offer the chance to coach in the SEC, perhaps the best conference in the nation.
2. University of Miami (AKA The "U")

Unfortunately, these past few years, it has not been about the U.
Though it will be quite a task to restore Miami to its once heralded top spot in the nation, the next coach of the Hurricanes will enjoy far more benefits than downsides during his career.
He will get to coach a program who is willing to shell out a lot of money for football, as well as a program who will offer him a chance to succeed at a very high level. Plus, who could say no to living in Florida?
3. Colorado

Where are the glory days of the early 2000s Colorado? I remember as if it were just yesterday that you were playing in the Fiesta Bowl (although they were walloped by a strong Oregon team). And now, to make matters worse, you are in need of a new coach.
Colorado provides a great opportunity for coaches who are looking for a fresh start, in all variances of the phrase as well.
Not only will they be assuming a new coaching career, but they will also be stepping into a new conference, the PAC-12! Going into a new conference can come around with new possibilities and new heights to reach.
Look for this job to be filled relatively soon.
4. Minnesota Golden Gophers
4 of 5
When I think of the Big 10, sadly, I do not think of Minnesota (sorry Gopher fans). They have just kind of always been there, but more of like a pesky mosquito rather than a complete powerhouse.
The coach who will take this job knows that he is not stepping into the lime-light, but must also realize that he has the chance to play spoiler every year to a very good conference.
He can become known as one of the greatest giant killing coaches of all time and perhaps take Minnesota to new heights. Now, who wouldn't want to do that?
5. Indiana Hoosiers
5 of 5
HOOSIERS!! The last team on this list takes us back to Big 10 country and has also been one of the biggest disappointments as of late.
After the death of their former coach four years ago, they have not been able to put this program together. Likely known more for the movie Hoosiers than any real football accomplishments (or accomplishments in general), the coach who assumes duties will have to fight an uphill battle, but can also join Minnesota in the same quest to re-write the conference power rankings in the Big 10 (sadly, highly unlikely).
