Fantasy Football Week 14 Quarterbacks: Who to Pick Up, Drop and Ignore
The fantasy football playoffs are upon us, and roster decisions are more important now than any point in the year.
The first round of the fantasy playoffs starts in one of my leagues this week, but I earned a first-round bye thanks in large part to waiver wire pickups this year.
In my other league, there is still a week to go before playoffs start, yet I have already earned the top seed there.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In both leagues, the other managers took a snooze and let me swoop in and pick up players like Michael Vick.
If you need help at quarterback as the fantasy playoffs begin, here are some players you either shouldn't snooze on or should cut loose. It can make the difference.
Pickups
Drew Stanton, Detroit Lions
Stanton's numbers weren't huge on Sunday, but he was facing the Chicago Bears defense. That being said, he scored in the air and on the ground, protected the ball and came away with a 102.4 quarterback rating.
He'll see some better matchups in the next few weeks. The only concern is if Matt Stafford heals up.
Stanton is out there in 99 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Jon Kitna, Dallas Cowboys
I sound like a broken record with Kitna, but here he is again. Dallas has seen an offensive explosion since the coaching change, and Kitna has been a huge part of it.
Don't look at the age of the player or the record of the team. Look at the stats, which is what you win fantasy football games with.
Kitna is still out there in 69 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Unreal.
Matt Cassel, Kansas City Chiefs
Another QB that people have been snoozing on, Cassel has thrown for 11 touchdowns in his last four games without throwing an interception.
Somehow he is still out there in 33 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Ignore
Tarvaris Jackson, Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings still plan to play Brett Favre this Sunday. Apparently he is a zombie or something. I expect in one of these upcoming games we'll see Brett take another big hit and then sit up suddenly like WWE legend The Undertaker.
We've all thought Jackson would be the starter by now, but given this year's track record it's not worth a risk or a roster spot during the fantasy playoffs.
Drop
Brett Favre, Minnesota Vikings
Yes, it seems he'll start if he has a spike drilled through his head. Can you really risk him?
This morning there were 55 percent of Yahoo! leagues who still showed him as owned.
This means that despite mostly poor play, two games where he left early due to injury and the belief that he'll be benched at any moment, more people still own Favre than own Jon Kitna, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh Freeman and Sam Bradford.
If you want a serious chance in the playoffs, drop Favre for one of these many other quarterbacks that have and will post better numbers.
