Alabama Names 2010 Permanent Captains Who Will Be Enshrined at Denny Chimes

At last night's banquet for the football team, the permanent team captains for the 2010 team were named. They were Greg McElroy (quarterback), Dont'a Hightower (linebacker) and Mark Barron (safety).

The banquet crowd and Nick Saban proudly seemed pleased with the choices the team made.

Permanent captains are elected by the team, and their hand prints and names will be cast in cement in the walk at Alabama's landmark Denny Chimes.

It is an honor that many Alabama players say rates higher than other seemingly more  prestigious national awards.

The next time you are on campus, stop by Denny Chimes and see the famous names from the past enshrined there.
