Bowl Schedule 2010: Breaking Down the Conferences

Now that the Bowl Schedule for the 2010-2011 season is up, we can take a look at which conferences have the most teams playing and in which games. 

The ACC for example, despite having a bad year, still has nine teams playing bowl games. 

On the other hand, the Pac-10, while they lay claim to two of the top four teams in the nation, only has four teams in bowls. 

Read on to see a breakdown of the bowl games according to conference. 

Sun Belt

The Sun Belt has three teams playing in bowl games this year:

Troy plays Ohio in the New Orleans Bowl.

Florida International plays Toledo in the Little Caesars Bowl.

Middle Tennessee plays Miami (Ohio) in the GoDaddy.com Bowl.

Independents

The Independents have three teams playing in bowl games this year:

Navy plays San Diego State in the Poinsettia Bowl.

Army plays SMU in the Armed Forces Bowl.

Notre Dame plays Miami in the Sun Bowl.

MAC

The MAC has four teams playing in bowl games this year:

Northern Illinois plays Fresno State in the Humanitarian Bowl.

Ohio plays Troy in the New Orleans Bowl.

Toledo plays Florida International in the Little Caesars Bowl.

Miami (Ohio) plays Middle Tennessee in the GoDaddy.com Bowl.

The WAC has four teams playing in bowl games this year:

Fresno State plays Northern Illinois in the Humanitarian Bowl.

Southern Mississippi plays Louisville in the St. Petersburg Bowl.

Tulsa play Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl.

East Carolina plays Maryland in the Military Bowl.
