2010-11 Bowl Schedule: Full Rundown of Every Bowl Game

The 2010-11 Bowl Schedule is set to kick off two weeks from Saturday, and teams have already committed to many games being played early in the postseason. 

See a breakdown of each NCAA bowl game with committed and projected teams below.

Albuquerque, NM 

At 6-6, Brigham Young is barely bowl eligible but will kick off the bowl season against one of the WAC's finest.

Humanitarian Bowl, Dec. 18, 5:30 pm

Boise, ID          

The blue turf at Bronco Stadium in Boise gets its annual national spotlight in this mid-major bowl game. The powerful WAC could send either Boise State or No. 17 Nevada to this game.

New Orleans Bowl, Dec. 18, 9:00 pm

New Orleans, LA            

Florida International and Troy are just two of the teams that could potentially end up in the bowl by the bayou.

St. Petersburg Bowl, Dec. 21, 8:00 pm

St. Petersburg, FL 

Southern Mississippi, which is 8-4 on the season with a win over No. 25 Central Florida, accepted a recent invitation to play in this year's Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl.

Las Vegas Bowl, Dec. 22, 8:00 pm       

Las Vegas, NV 

The Maaco Bowl will announce its participating teams in a Dec. 9 media conference at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas.

Poinsettia Bowl, Dec. 23, 8:00 pm

San Diego, CA  

San Diego State and Navy, which both received votes in the most recent AP Top 25 poll, will battle in the Poinsettia Bowl. San Diego State is 8-4 with losses coming to No. 3 TCU and No. 23 Utah. The Aztecs beat No. 23 Air Force in October. Navy enters with an 8-3 record.

Hawaii Bowl, Dec. 24, 8:00 pm

Honolulu, HI      

One lucky Conference USA team will get the opportunity to spend the holiday in Hawaii and face the University of Hawaii in the Sheraton Bowl. Hawaii is 9-3 with a 7-1 record in the powerful WAC.

Little Caesars Bowl, Dec. 26, 8:30 pm

Detroit, MI         

Last year, Marshall University and Ohio University squared off. This year, the Conference USA will not have a team in the bowl. A team from the Mid-American Conference will take on a Big Ten squad at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich.

AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl, Dec. 27, 5:00 pm            

Shreveport, LA  

Air Force, which sports an impressive 8-4 record, will take on an Atlantic Coast Conference team in this year's Independence Bowl, which will be played on recently-installed field turf at Independence Stadium.

Champs Sports Bowl, Dec. 28, 6:30 pm

Orlando, FL       

Two powers will square off in this year's Florida Citrus Bowl as the top non-BCS teams from the Big East and ACC do battle.

Insight Bowl, Dec. 28, 10:00 pm

Tempe, AZ        

The first of what's sure to be three impressive bowl games to be played in the state of Arizona will feature the third-place team from the Big 12 and either the third or fourth best team in the Big Ten.

Military Bowl, Dec. 29, 2:30 pm

Washington, D.C. 

With a 6-6 record, East Carolina has accepted a bid to represent Conference USA in the Military Bowl. The Pirates' opponent from the ACC will be announced Sunday.

Texas Bowl, Dec. 29, 6:00 pm

Houston, TX      

Awaiting word on which teams from the Big Ten and Big 12 will be participating, Texas Bowl fans will be closely watching this Saturday's Big 12 Championship Game and Illinois' tilt with Fresno State this weekend. Bowl officials have projected that other possibilities include Texas Tech, Kansas State, Baylor and Northwestern.

Alamo Bowl, Dec. 29, 9:15 pm

San Antonio, TX            

No. 12 Nebraska, No. 13 Oklahoma State and ninth-ranked Oklahoma are all projected by ESPN's crew of college football experts to be playing Arizona in this year's Alamo Bowl.

Armed Forces Bowl, Dec. 30, 12:00 pm

Dallas, TX         

With a 6-5 record heading into its regular-season finale against Navy, Army has accepted a bid to the Armed Forces Bowl. Army will take on a Conference USA opponent.

New Era Pinstripe Bowl, Dec. 30, 3:20 pm

Bronx, NY

Bowl eligible for the first time since 2004, Syracuse will take on a Big 12 team in the inaugural New Era Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium.

Music City Bowl, Dec. 30, 6:40 pm

Nashville, TN

With No. 21 Florida State and No. 15 Virginia Tech slated to play this weekend in the ACC Championship Game and South Carolina and Auburn playing in the SEC title game, Music City bowl officials will be watching both games very closely. The Music City Bowl will feature teams from the ACC and SEC.

Holiday Bowl, Dec. 30, 10:00 pm

San Diego, CA  

Two unknown teams from the Big 12 and the Pac-10 will square off at Qualcomm Stadium in this year's contest.

Meineke Car Care Bowl, Dec. 31, 12:00 pm

Charlotte, NC    

The ACC and Big East will send teams to play in this year's Car Care Bowl in Charlotte, which will be played on New Year's Eve for the second time in event history.

Liberty Bowl, Dec. 31, 3:30 pm

Memphis, TN     

Central Florida and Georgia are projected to be the two unnamed teams playing in this year's Liberty Bowl, according to ESPN.com.

Chick-fil-A Bowl, Dec. 31, 7:30 pm

Atlanta, GA       

No. 21 Florida State is projected to be taking on 22nd-ranked Mississippi State in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

Hyundai Sun Bowl, Dec. 31 2 p.m.

El Paso, Texas 

The ACC and the Pac-10 will send teams to the Sun Bowl, played the afternoon of New Year's Eve.

TicketCity Bowl, Jan 1 noon

Dallas, Texas

At the Cotton Bowl, it's projected by ESPN.com that Northwestern and Texas Tech will be playing in the TicketCity Bowl on New Year's Day.

Outback Bowl, Jan. 1, 1:00 pm

Tampa, FL

Penn State, Iowa and South Carolina are predicted to be among the potential participants in the Outback Bowl, which features teams from the Big Ten and the SEC.

Capital One Bowl, Jan. 1, 2010, 1 pm

Orlando, FL

According to ESPN.com, it looks like eighth-ranked Michigan State is the likely Big Ten representative in this year's Capital One Bowl. The SEC is projected to send either No. 16 Alabama or 10th-ranked LSU.

Gator Bowl, Jan. 1, 1:30 pm

Jacksonville, FL           

With the Big Ten and the SEC once again slated to be featured in this year's Gator Bowl, it's been projected that either Iowa or Penn State will take on Florida.

Rose Bowl, Jan. 1

Pasadena, CA 

In what is the first BCS bowl game of the season, it looks like No. 5 Wisconsin could be facing TCU, leaving the Pac-10 out of the running in this highly anticipated bowl.

Fiesta Bowl, Jan. 1

Glendale, Ariz.

The University of Connecticut may get a shot at its first ever BCS bowl game, according to Andrea Adelson's projection on ESPN.com. Mark Schlabach predicts that it will be fourth-ranked Stanford gaining the at-large BCS bid to take on Big 12 champion Oklahoma, which is currently ranked No. 9 in the BCS poll.

Orange Bowl, Jan. 3

Miami, Fla.

With the ACC Championship Game being the only contest standing between Virginia Tech and the Orange Bowl, ESPN.com is projecting that the Hokies will be facing either Stanford or No. 24 West Virginia in Miami this January.

Sugar Bowl, Jan. 4

New Orleans, La.

Don't be surprised when it's No. 7 Arkansas vs. No. 6 Ohio State in this year's Sugar Bowl.

GoDaddy.com Bowl, Jan. 6, 8:00 pm

Mobile, AL

The GoDaddy.com Bowl is slated to feature teams from the Sun Belt Conference and MAC. With current records, it looks like Troy and Miami (Ohio) are the two favorites to enjoy the bid to Mobile.

AT&T Cotton Bowl, Jan. 7, 8:00 PM

Arlington, Texas 

Texas A&M, the 18th-ranked team in the BCS poll, is already in, having accepted a bid on Tuesday. The only question remains which SEC team the Aggies will square off against at Cowboys Stadium.

BBVA Compass Bowl, Jan. 8, 12:00 pm    

Birmingham, AL 

Kentucky has the inside track to representing the SEC in the BBVA Compass Bowl, but it's unclear as to whether UConn or Pittsburgh will be the Big East team taking part.

Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, Jan. 9, 9:00 pm        

San Francisco, CA

With it unclear whether or not the Pac-10 will be able to fulfill its Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl commitment, Boston College, Miami and Georgia Tech may all have a shot at taking the bid. One of those teams will take on a team from the WAC, and it'll likely be No. 11 Boise State.

BCS National Championship Game, Jan. 10

Glendale, Ariz.

This weekend's SEC Championship game between top-ranked Auburn and No. 19 South Carolina notwithstanding, experts are already penciling in the Tigers to take on No. 2 Oregon in the BCS National Championship Game.
