Real Madrid's Kaka: Jose Mourinho's Trump Card the Key To Los Blancos Success
Jose Mourinho is one of the most successful coaches in the last decade and has won titles in Portugal, England and Italy before taking up arguably his toughest assignment in his career in Spain. Real Madrid have been outclassed by Barcelona in the last few years and Florentino Perez invested millions into the team to acquire some of the world's best players in Cristiano Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso and Kaka amongst others.
Mourinho brought in a number of youngsters which includes the likes of Angel di Maria, Mesut Ozil, Sami Khedira, Pedro Leon and Sergio Canales to build a winning unit for the years to come. Though some of these youngsters have already established themselves as regulars, Real Madrid is still a work in progress as their heavy defeat against Barcelona showed.

Jose Mourinho is a winner and has made a name for himself by winning trophies with all the clubs that he has managed. He will not be daunted by the task on hand but he would like to have a full strength Real Madrid side at his disposal. The defence was absolutely shredded to pieces by the Blaugrana and their flaws were badly exposed. Mourinho has a reputation for building teams with a strong defence and he will make sure that these errors are rectified in the future.
The main problem for Real Madrid against Barcelona was that there was absolutely no creativity in the midfield. Sami Khedira's role is to anchor the midfield and provide short passes to Xabi Alonso, who is the deep-lying playmaker.
Mesut Ozil has impressed for Real Madrid in the short span of time but failed to make an impression in the game against Barcelona. The German International is an exciting young prospect but still has some way to go. He struggles when he is not given any spaces and does not have the aura to inspire his more illustrious teammates.
Mourinho has re-emphasised the importance of Kaka returning to the squad in recent weeks and after the humiliation at the Nou Camp, the Brazilian midfielder's return will give the camp, a much-needed boost. The former AC Milan star has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu but Mourinho has made it clear that Kaka does feature in his plans for the future.
Kaka did not have a good season by his high standards in the last year but it was only his first season and hopefully, supporters will get to see the best of him in this season. He did play for Brazil in the World Championship and after a rather slow start, he did find form in some matches assisting a number of goals. Unfortunately, he sustained yet another injury in the World Cup and has been out of the game for the last five months.
He is a player who thrives on confidence and his confidence is a little low after suffering numerous injuries in the last year. But Mourinho is arguably the best man-manager that you will find in the modern era and he is an inspirational manager who can resurrect the team's confidence. Wesley Sneijder had been unceremoniously sold to make space for the Galactico signings and Mourinho, then manager of Inter Milan, was quick to bring him to the San Siro.
Though Sneijder has always been a good player, he has never played that well as he did in the previous season. He gained a lot of confidence and attributed his good season to Mourinho. Kaka is an exceptionally talented player and there are not many players as brilliant as him, but he is lacking confidence at the moment.
Real Madrid will need Kaka to find form as soon as possible after he returns from the injury and the supporters will need to play a huge role in this. They should not put undue pressure on the Brazilian and back him to come good for the rest of the season. Wesley Sneijder played an important role in Mourinho's success at Inter Milan and Kaka could be the catalyst for Mourinho's success in Spain. With the Portuguese manager's backing, expect Kaka to return strongly for Real Madrid. If Kaka can perform to the standards that he is capable of, winning the La Liga by defeating Barcelona does not seem an impossible prospect.
