How Do You Like Notre Dame Now?

This is an article for all the Notre Dame haters out there.

While a 7-5 record is still below Notre Dame standards, the recent winning streak by Notre Dame to end the season has brought some real hope to South Bend. In the last three games, the Fighting Irish have done some things that they haven't done in a long time.

It started with a victory over a ranked opponent. The Fighting Irish got rid of that monkey by manhandling Utah with a final score of 28-3. In that game, Notre Dame had also won a game in November for the first time in three years.

Next up was Army at Yankee Stadium. That was another game dominated by the Irish with a 27-3 win that made them bowl eligible.

Next up was their season finale against arch-rival USC. After eight straight years of losing, Notre Dame was finally able to come out on top. It was a game that did involve a little luck at the end.

However, the Fighting Irish came through with the game on the line for once in a close game. Getting the USC monkey off their backs is a huge deal regardless of all the factors involved.

The biggest thing to be positive about is the play of the defense in the last three games. In those games they surrendered only one touchdown and a total combined points of 22.

The haters cannot deny that Notre Dame is definitely on the right track with Brian Kelly. I do know they will try to downplay Notre Dame's strong finish as only haters can. They will say things USC is not the same team they once were. They will also discredit the win over Utah saying that they are a mid-major and forget that they were a ranked program that has two BCS bowl wins in recent wins.

Regardless of what the haters say, Notre Dame's future is looking bright. As we head into recruiting and bowl season, Notre Dame will once again be attractive for the top recruits.
