Manchester United Announcement: Fergie Signs New Keeper Anders Lindegaard
Manchester United today announced the signing of Anders Lindegaard, the 26-year-old Danish goalkeeper from Aalesunds FK.
Anders will train with United during the next month and will officially be unveiled and available for selection in January after the transfer window has opened.
Ferguson is delighted to have completed the transfer, which is reported to be undisclosed at this time, but initial reports suggested a figure around £4.2 million.

Lindegaard has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at United.
Ferguson had This to Say in His Statement
“Anders is one of the brightest young keepers in the game. The challenge at Manchester United is always to look to the future, and in Anders, we have signed a goalkeeper of great presence and even more promise. "
"Having the time to train with him before he is registered will be an important period for him, almost like a preseason to get him integrated with the other players.”
While Anders Lindegaard Said
“Joining Manchester United is a dream come true for me. The Club is such an institution in Denmark, it’s an honour to come here.
"I’m looking forward to playing and training alongside some of the great players in football today. I can’t wait to be part of this team and to make my contribution to keeping the team at the top of the game.”
Many of the United faithful will be happy to hear that some initiative is been taken in strengthening the squad, while many, including myself, hope to see the man do his thing on the field.
Although United are at the top of the table alongside Chelsea, the team's form and current performance is below par.
What's good is if United can push on and gain momentum with consistent performances, they could just force the issue on all title contenders.
