College Football Week 12 Picks: LSU Tigers Expected To Crack Under Pressure
From the Big 12’s upsetting seasons and the curse of being ranked No. 1—for schools like Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma—we’ve experienced some of the biggest upsets.
Needless to say, college football fans should continue to expect the unexpected as we enter Week 12...which college teams will remain undefeated and ranked?
Let’s take a look at the top games you should watch or TiVo.
Miami (24) vs. Virginia Tech (16)
1 of 8
Miami has had two bad losses in the ACC and then had a road loss to Virginia.
Although Virginia Tech has also experienced some losses, it was Miami’s leadership problems which led to their losses.
Miami will lose to Virginia Tech because of said problems, however it will be a close game and a conference deciding factor.
Mississippi State (21) vs. Arkansas (13)
2 of 8
Whenever you put two ranked teams on the field, you have to expect action packed upsets...because one will leave with a loss, regardless.
Arkansas has a high-powered offense.
The Razorbacks boast the league's top passing offense for the second straight season.
They feature five players who have 25 or more catches, excluding leading receiver Greg Childs, who is out for the season with a knee injury and average 13 yards per reception.
Arkansas should have this game in the bag.
Iowa (20) vs. Ohio State (9)
3 of 8
Iowa is ranked No. 20 for one reason—two losses to two big schools.
Although they have lost, they have been more consistent on the field than Ohio State.
Iowa might give Ohio State the unexpected loss and shake things up in their conference and in the rankings.
Texas A&M (19) vs. Nebraska (8)
4 of 8
This kind of seems like a no-brainer—I can’t even remember when the last time Texas A&M was ranked.
With that being said, Nebraska has been strong and consistent all season. They have, remarkably, remained in the Top 10 and should stay there after they win against A&M.
A&M's defense are doing a great job in the red zone though. For the last two weeks, they have only let opponents score four times.
Although it will be a close game, I'm still giving it to Nebraska.
Oklahoma (14) vs. Baylor
5 of 8
Oklahoma has road problems—it’s obvious and understandable.
Their other issue though is there isn’t much that can be done physically to overcome what’s clearly become a psychological problem.
Unfortunately for the Sooners, these questions are going to be around until they play well on the road.
Saturday’s game at Baylor is an opportunity to do that.
LSU (5) vs. Mississippi
6 of 8
LSU has earned their position in the Top Five.
However, LSU coach Les Miles and LSU can't escape reminders of how they messed up the final seconds of last year's 25-23 loss at Mississippi.
Will the painful reminders hinder their confidence and give them their second loss of the season...it’s possible.
Although I don’t think Mississippi will be able to pull a fast one over LSU that easily, LSU should take home the win.
Boise State (4) vs. Fresno State
7 of 8
Boise State has been beyond impressive this season—if such a thing is possible.
It would be the biggest upset of the season if they were to lose, however, that doesn’t even seem possible.
Boise State should dominate the game and continue to be ranked fourth, oddly.
Watching Boise State from week to week should always be on the agenda though because it’s worth every second to see them create a masterpiece.

Which teams will prevail?
Who’s making it to their conference playoffs?
It’s not set in stone, just yet, but these teams' seasons aren't nearly over.
