Arsenal Transfer Prospect: England Help Wenger Find Newest Keeping Talent
The future of England football was defeated 2-0 in a friendly match with German Under 21's on Tuesday at the Wiesbaden. The English Under 21's, who have been highly impressive in qualification for the UEFA U-21 Championship next year, were missing several key names due to call ups from the full England squad. However, the U-21 squad still contained the likes of Everton's highly touted midfielder Jack Rodwell and Tottenham star Danny Rose.
In a thrilling and exciting encounter, during which the young Lions showed great spirit and determination, England were forced to ten men when Middlesbrough keeper Jason Steele was dismissed in the 58th minute. Steele was only thirteen minutes into the match having come on at half time for Watford's Scott Loach.

Due to the early substitution, Manager Stuart Pearce was faced with the daunting prospect of no keeper to turn to. However, it ceased to matter as Arsenal star-to-be Henri Lansbury accepted the role and played the final 32 minutes as a make shift keeper.
Despite conceding from the penalty spot within minutes of his positional swap, the 20 year old was outstanding, making a number of impressive stops and ensuring the deficit remained only two goals. Lansbury, who recently scored his first Arsenal goal against rival Tottenham in the Carling Cup, is touted as a future Arsenal star—as a midfielder.
However, Arsenal have endured a terrible time attempting to find the ideal, quality, first choice keeper and although the much maligned Lukasz Fabianski is finally beginning to show positive signs of proving his worth, Lansbury could have a case for finding a quicker route into the Arsenal first XI.
