NFL Power Rankings Week 11: Ranking All 32 Cornerback Tandems
They are the farthest players away from each other on the football field. A team's two cornerbacks don't interact on the field much during a game, but each has an enormous effect on the other.
A shutdown corner on one side and a liability on the other does absolutely nothing for a defense.
Darrelle Revis with Lito Sheppard was nothing special.
Cortland Finnegan combined with Nick Harper was a disaster.
To truly have a dominant secondary, two talented cornerbacks must combine.
It's when you get the Charles Woodson-Al Harris combination a defense really gets scary.
Here are the rankings of the cornerback duos worst to best in the NFL this season:
32. Houston Texans
1 of 32
Duo: Kareem Jackson and Glover Quin
Duo's Interceptions: 2
Team Passing Yards Surrendered Per Game: 301.3 (32nd)
Quick Analysis:
The Texans pass defense as a team is an absolute joke. When a defense has Mario Williams creating pressure, and is still having problems defending the pass, the secondary is to blame.
31. New England Patriots
2 of 32
Duo: Devin McCourty and Kyle Arrington
Duo's Interceptions: 2
Team Passing Yards Surrendered Per Game: 277.8 (30th)
Quick Analysis:

Duo's Interceptions: 1
Team Passing Yards Surrendered Per Game: 272.2 (28th)

Duo's Interceptions: 2
Team Passing Yards Surrendered Per Game: 240.2 (22nd)
