New York Jets (Jets Schedule)

Opponent Defensive Ranks

Cleveland Pass Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 25th - TDs Allowed T-26th

Cleveland Rush Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 15th – TDs Allowed 1st

New York Jets Offensive Cast

Mark Sanchez (QB Week 10 Ranking #13) 2010 Season: 136/254 – for 1,692 Yards & 10 TDs

Sanchez has a great receiving corps to work with, no doubt about it.  He also has a dominant backfield and offensive line to take the pressure off of him.  Add those factors up against a porous Pass-D like Cleveland has, and you’re possibly looking at the same sort of stats he put up last week against the Lions (336 yards, one passing TD, one rushing TD).

LaDainian Tomlinson (RB Week 10 Ranking #16) 2010 Season: 123 Carries for 599 Yards & 5 TDs, 30 Recs for 191 Yards & 0 TDs

LT21 is still the main man… for now.  He’ll break down a bit eventually, but not in this game.  Cleveland will put up a good fight against the Jets, but in the end, the Jets O-Line will wear the Browns down and LT21 will shoot off for a couple of big ones late.

Shonn Greene (RB Week 10 Ranking #31) 2010 Season: 87 Carries for 391 Yards & 1 TD || 5 Recs for 36 Yards & 0 TDs

I hear the big fella is out of shape, but that doesn’t mean the Jets won’t use him!  Rex Ryan knows that if Tomlinson is going to work for him in the later-stages of the season, Shone will have to put in some good time.  We’ll see how this shakes out on Sunday against a weak Cleveland defense.

Santonio Holmes (WR Week 10 Ranking #19) 2010 Season: 15 Recs for 245 Yards & 0 TDs

Holmes shouldn’t be forgotten in this offense, as it seems he and Sanchez have finally built up a rapport together.  It hasn’t turned into a TD just yet, but with his first 100-yard game coming last week, I can see the goal-line barrier finally coming down this Sunday against the Browns (26th in passing TDs allowed).

Braylon Edwards (WR Week 10 Ranking #33) 2010 Season: 25 Recs for 453 Yards & 5 TDs

Edwards isn’t dropping as many balls as he has in the past, and it seems Sanchize has developed a bit of confidence in him because of it.  He doesn’t get a ton of targets, but he’ll always have a chance or two for a long TD over the course of a game.  Against a bottom-tier Pass-D like Cleveland’s, the chances go up significantly.

Jerricho Cotchery (WR Week 10 Ranking #NR) 2010 Season: 26 Recs for 272 Yards & 1 TD

Cotchery simply isn’t targeted enough with Holmes and Edwards ahead of him to make an impact on your fantasy team.

Dustin Keller (TE Week 10 Ranking #8) 2010 Season: 30 Recs for 447 Yards & 5 TDs

Cleveland is tied for the fifth worst team at defending against tight ends this year and cough up the 3rd most receptions per game to them.  Keller hasn’t been used in the Jets’ offense as much since Santonio Holmes returned, but I can see him getting a good opportunity this game against a porous Browns D.

Cleveland Browns (Browns Schedule)

Opponent Defensive Ranks

New York Jets Pass Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 18th - TDs Allowed T-15th

New York Jets Rush Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 4th – TDs Allowed T-3rd

Cleveland Offensive Cast

Colt McCoy (QB Week 10 Ranking #NR) 2010 Season: 46/68 – for 529 Yards & 1 TD

The new era of Drew Brees Jr. has begun, and though the stats aren’t quite there yet, his command of the team and win-loss record are lookin’ pretty darn good.

Peyton Hillis (RB Week 10 Ranking #11) 2010 Season: 133 Carries for 644 Yards & 7 TDs || 30 Recs for 229 Yards & 1 TD

Not only is this kid defying the odds, being a white running back in the NFL, but he also happens to be one of the BEST running backs in the league right now.  He’s so big and strong that it doesn’t seem to matter what defense is playing him at this point.  Unless he gets hurt, bank on 80-100 yards and a TD against the fourth best Rush-D in the NFL.

Josh Cribbs (WR Week 10 Ranking #NR) 2010 Season: 16 Recs for 198 Yards & 1 TD

I’m not sure you can rank any of these receivers until Colt McCoy proves he can put up the stats.  It might be awhile…

Mohamed Massaquoi (WR Week 10 Ranking #NR) 2010 Season: 13 Recs for 173 Yards & 1 TD

See above

Chansi Stuckey (WR Week 10 Ranking #NR) 2010 Season: 23 Recs for 219 Yards & 0 TDs

See above

Ben Watson (TE Week 10 Ranking #16) 2010 Season: 31 Recs for 360 Yards & 2 TDs

The Jets don’t give up a whole hell of a lot to tight ends, but Watson will be needed in this game as a dump-off for the rookie McCoy.  Don’t expect too much here.
