Michael Vick is the Midseason MVP

While some have been advocating Michael Vick as the early favorite for this season's MVP award, there are others debating just how long his new-found success will last.

After attempting just 13 passes all of last season following his hiatus from the league, Vick has thrown 125 balls through Week 9 without tossing an interception. Most impressively, Vick's 60.8 completion percentage is the highest of his career.

With 1,017 yards and a 7:0 TD:INT ratio, the man that was known as a running back in a quarterback's body is finally beginning to show off a very improved arm.

There is a clear difference in the "new" Michael Vick. While he likely won't ever pace the league in passing statistics, Vick's approach to the game is drastically altered. Previously getting by on his extraordinary talent alone, No. 7's new cerebral approach has taken his game to a new level.

During his tenure in Atlanta, Vick was regularly the last one in the building and the first one out. Now in Philly, he's the first one in and the last one out, and it's really improving his on-field performance.

The only player in the NFL that requires a unique defensive scheme on a weekly basis, Vick's unique skill set is second to none. Anyone who has watched MV7 this season can tell that not only does he have his running legs fully under him, but his passing abilities have taken off to new heights thus far in 2010.

Regularly connecting on deep bombs of 40-plus yards, Vick's 8.1 yards per attempt average is the highest mark of his career.

And although Vick said he wouldn't run the ball as much, he's simply too good at it to refrain. With 36 rushes for 261 yards and two touchdowns over his five games, Vick's playmaking ability is undeniable.

Now, heading into Week 10 with nine total scores without a single turnover (no fumbles lost, either), Vick's ascension to the upper-echelon of the quarterback position has finally arrived and with perfect timing, as the Eagles are providing him every opportunity to excel.
