At the University of Texas, The Big T Now Stands for Terrible

For a few weeks now, I've been reading posts and comments on varying Texas boards, and there is was a meltdown of comments including many profane ones.

While it wouldn't be tasteful to cut and paste them, much less describe them, one thing I have noticed is the losses have caused the Texas fan base to stop making excuses.

Texas must have a graduate program in excuse making because they have so many who are so well versed in that art. They can easily excuse away any loss.

But now, even they have simply given up.

Why?

Texas sucks. They are soured orange, one of the nation's worst run defenses is at Kansas State, and yet they looked like the old Steel Curtain defense from the Steelers glory days in stopping Texas.

The Texas defense looked just as inept.

The whole program looks so bad right now that some fans are saying clean house, even the coach in waiting, because they don't want to wait for more results like this.

How bad is Texas now?

The quarterback they were all so high on threw a record five interceptions so far, and the game isn't even over yet.

Their top running back had gained 35 yards with just three minutes to go. Yeah Mack, how's that "Going back to the running game going?" Hey Malcom Brown, are you rethinking that commitment now?

Texas is no longer in the running for any kind of league championship and may not even make a bowl game now. Has any team gone from a national championship game to not appearing in a bowl in the next season?

Yes Texas, you must face the truth now every time you look at the big orange T or even the longhorn symbol which forms a nice T as well and know they stand for terrible, because that's what the program has become.

How the school deals with it will tell us much about what to expect next year.
