2010 NFL Power Rankings Week 8: From the New York Jets to the Buffalo Bills
New York Jets: 5-1, T-First AFC East
While not much changes during a bye week, the Jets are certainly looking like Super Bowl contenders.
Pittsburgh Steelers: 5-1, First AFC North

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After the referees gift-wrapped a victory for them at Miami, the Steelers will have to prove that they can win close contests on their own volition.
New England Patriots: 5-1, T-First AFC East
Wasn’t this supposed to be the tough part of the Patriots schedule? The Pats are cruising and looking like a season with 12+ wins is well within reach.
Baltimore Ravens: 5-2, Second AFC North
Nobody expected this defense to give up 34 points to Buffalo, but at the end of the day a win is a win, and it was nice to see the offense produce in a big way.
New York Giants: 5-2, First NFC East
After a huge MNF victory against Dallas, the Giants are in the driver’s seat and should be seen as the favorite to win the division.
Indianapolis Colts: 4-2, T-Second AFC South
Despite all of the injuries to some key players (Addai, Collie, Clark), No. 18 can get it to just about anyone.
Atlanta Falcons: 5-2, First NFC South
Wide receiver Roddy White is having a career year, and this team looks like the current favorite to win its division.
Houston Texans: 4-2, T-Second AFC South
QB Matt Schaub and RB Arian Foster have stolen the show thus far for the Texans, but when will the holes in the defense come back to burn them?
Kansas City Chiefs: 4-2, First AFC West
Coming off a very emphatic win against Jacksonville, the Chiefs are in prime position to stun the world should they continue their current level of play.
Tennessee Titans: 5-2, First AFC South
With WR Kenny Britt emerging as a legitimate No. 1 option, perhaps CJ2K will have a better time finding some running lanes to motor through.
Green Bay Packers: 4-3, T-First NFC North
After winning a squeaker against the Vikings, one has to wonder if the injuries combined with QB Aaron Rodgers’ mediocre play will begin to burn them later in the season.
Miami Dolphins: 3-3, Third AFC East
The best 3-3 team in the NFL, if the Dolphins could only get WR Brandon Marshall more involved.
Philadelphia Eagles: 4-3, T-Second NFC East
Heading into a bye, QB Michael Vick is set to return as the team’s starter, which is a much better look than Kolb under center.
Oakland Raiders: 3-4, Second AFC West
After putting up 59 points against Denver, perhaps people are writing off the Raiders too quickly. With a better-than-average defense, RB Darren McFadden will be key to the team’s continued success.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 4-2, Second NFC South
QB Josh Freeman is officially the comeback kid. However, with the ground game still struggling, the Bucs are going to have to keep winning to convince most that they are for real.
St. Louis Rams: 3-4, Third NFC West
Despite a disheartening last-second loss to the Buccaneers, it’s clear that the Rams are markedly improved on both sides of the football this season.
New Orleans Saints: 4-3, Third NFC South
Two stinging losses to the Cardinals and Browns have taken some of the bite out of that “Who Dat” bark.
Washington Redskins: 4-3, T-Second NFC East
DeAngelo Hall picked off Bears QB Jay Cutler four times this week, and RB Ryan Torain looks better than Clinton Portis ever did in a Redskins uniform.
Chicago Bears: 4-3, T-First NFC North
While QB Jay Cutler looked very good to begin the season, he hasn’t enjoyed the same success over the last few games.
Seattle Seahawks: 4-2, First NFC West
Pete Carroll has his men playing some inspired football, and it appears that there’s a very real chance this team wins the division.
Minnesota Vikings: 2-4, Third NFC North
Brett Favre may be forced out of action with his ankle injury, and they still continue to under-utilize RB Adrian Peterson.
San Diego Chargers: 2-5, T-Third AFC West
The most talented 2-5 team in the league, but Coach Norv Turner needs to get the axe, as the Chargers need someone capable of managing them better.
Cleveland Browns: 2-5, Fourth AFC North
Suddenly making some people turn their heads around the league, the Browns are clearly an improving squad, but they’re still very much a work in progress.
Jacksonville Jaguars: 3-4, Fourth AFC South
A drubbing at the hands of the Chiefs should end any talk of the Jaguars remaining competitive this season.
Cincinnati Bengals: 2-4, Third AFC North
Even on QB Carson Palmer’s good days, this team just can’t pull out a win. They won’t make the playoffs.
Denver Broncos: 2-5, T-Third AFC West
What happened here? Suddenly, the Broncos are looking very much like a team that’s back to square one.
San Francisco 49ers: 1-6, Fourth NFC West
Coach Mike Singletary still believes the 49ers can reach the playoffs, so perhaps the team should send him for a CT scan.
Arizona Cardinals: 3-3, Second NFC West
Whether its Max Hall or Derek Anderson, the Cardinals are going to struggle all season long with the absence of a true aerial attack.
Dallas Cowboys: 1-5, Fourth NFC East
Sitting at 1-5 and without QB Tony Romo for at least six weeks, the Cowboys will be lucky to even sniff the postseason.
Detroit Lions: 1-5, Fourth NFC North
QB Matthew Stafford is due back this week. That’s exciting, right Lions fans?
Carolina Panthers: 1-5, Fourth NFC South
The team snagged its first win of the season with QB Matt Moore re-claiming the starting job, but unfortunately that may be the highlight of the season.
Buffalo Bills: 0-6, Fourth AFC East
At least they came out to play this week. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is playing much better than people are crediting him for, and the win should come sooner than later.
