Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the NFL: Week 7

Double G SportsOct 25, 2010

Every week, Double G Sports looks at former Rutgers players currently playing in the NFL. Here is a review of Week 7:

Week 7 in the NFL was the Kenny Britt show, making him our Knight of the Week.

Two days prior to the game, Britt was involved in a bar fight. As punishment, the second-year wide receiver did not start Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Britt made a huge contribution off the bench for the Tennessee Titans, as he was Kerry Collins’ favorite target. Collins started the game in place of the injured Vince Young. Britt caught seven passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns. His touchdowns were for 80, 26 and 16 yards. The Titans won the game 37-19.

Jason McCourty was questionable coming into the game and missed his fourth straight for Tennessee.

Ray Rice and the Baltimore Ravens had an unexpected battle this week. Baltimore hosted Buffalo to take on possibly the NFL’s worst team. The Bills gave the Ravens all they had before falling in overtime. Rice ran the ball 16 times for 72 yards and caught one pass for a yard. Rice was probable as he is still recovering from an ankle injury. The Ravens won the game in overtime by a score of 37-34.
