College Football: Oregon Loses To USC Saturday, Predictions For Week 9

After another great weekend of college football, the No. 1 ranked team in the nation was once again overthrown as the Oklahoma Sooners were sentenced the same fate that of Alabama and Ohio State with upsets on difficult road games.

On the Pacific Coast, the Oregon Ducks will look to continue their flight to another Pac-10 Championship when they take their high-powered offense to So Cal in a matchup with Lane Kiffin and the USC Trojans on Saturday.

The Ducks remain the top ranked team in the AP poll but with the recent string of upsets, Oregon will need to play great when they travel down the coast to Los Angeles where USC might bring the lumber as did Missouri, Wisconsin, and South Carolina in their upsets over the last month.

In the Big Ten this week, the overachieving Michigan State Spartans will travel to their last obstacle in their quest for an outright Big Ten Championship in a matchup with the Iowa Hawkeyes in Iowa City.

In other major games this weekend, the Michigan Wolverines travel to Happy Valley to faceoff with Penn State in the Big Ten along with Kansas State welcoming Oklahoma to the Little Apple of Manhattan, Kansas this Saturday.
