Mourinho Magic in Motion: Cristiano Ronaldo Scores Four Times

Explosive, exciting and totally sensational, Real Madrid have shifted a gear as they take top spot in La Liga with a total demolition job done on Racing Santander in a 6-1 victory at the Bernabeu. 

A sensational start, with Higuain scoring the opener in the 10 minute, but from then on, it was Cristiano Ronaldo all the way. 

No doubt others within the team had massive contributions, but in terms of racking up the goals, the Portuguese forward was a nuisance to defenders. 

The quality both in defense and attack was evident from the Mourinho manual, with constant pushing and pressing on opposition right throughout the team. 

Solid defense is one of the attributes attached to Madrid, or at least it wasn't for many seasons. The usual was, "if you score against us, we will score more against you;" well, that was before Jose came to town. 

Now an almost perfect back-line, lead by World Cup winning goalkeeper Iker Cassilas, has only conceded four goals this season with no goal coming in the first half as yet. 

The results of Mourinho can be seen already, but he's not the only Portuguese having an impact at the Bernabeu. Pepe and Carvalho were solid in the center of defense. 

A certain priority to ensure quality football in all departments has made Madrid a proper contender in all competitions this season. 

With Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo and Higuain as one of the top attacking forces in Europe currently, with players in Alonso and Khedira just behind them, could this be the team that eliminates all, or is it too early to make such predictions? 

Many of the die-hard Barcelona fans would disagree; many arguments suggest Madrid have only played the weaker opposition and much tougher test lie ahead. While I don't disagree, I need to point out that if any team wants to win the league as Barca have done recently, they beat and trumped all. 

Also looking at the performances of the Barcelona team in comparison to that of Madrid, Madrid seem far ahead with Messi been the real exception in recent matches. 

Nevertheless, Barca have failed to capitalize on smaller opposition with a 1-0 victory over Sporting Gijon and obviously, the unforgettable 0-2 defeat to Hercules. 

On the individual front, Di Maria has to be one of the buys of the season. The Argentinian is amongst the best in terms of ball control, speed with the ball, vision and quality in possession. 

Ronaldo seems to be having a ball of a time, knocking up his 10th goal of the season as he tops the scorers list with Messi, Higuain and Nilmar on five each. 

As we work our way to some of the bigger matches, Mourinho and his troops will concentrate on being consistent, a trademark of any side that possess quality. 

The biggest test for Jose Mourinho will be Barcelona at the Camp Nou on 28th November, a match that will have the World watching as to of the top teams in Europe go head to head, with some of the best players in the world on display.
