College Football: Who Keeps Their BCS Hopes Alive After Week 8 Games?
After another seismic weekend on the college football landscape, this week greets a new chance for the top teams in the nation to make their case for a shot at the number one ranking and a potential trip to a BCS bowl.
In the Big Ten, Wisconsin will travel to Iowa City in a crucial conference game with the Hawkeyes as the Badgers come off the upset of Ohio State in addition to Iowa escaping Ann Arbor with a win this past weekend.
The key matchup of the game this Saturday would be the grinding Badger offense with the duo of Clay and White of Wisconsin against the imposing Iowa defense as the running game will be the key for the two programs try to keep the train rolling in 2010.
In the SEC, the Auburn Tigers will look to keep the offense rolling at an impressive pace as they did against Arkansas when the undefeated Tigers from LSU come to Auburn in a major SEC West game this Saturday.
The LSU defense will need to play extremely well this Saturday against Cam Newton and the Auburn offense that scored 65 points this past Saturday in a game where the two Tigers programs are looking for a trip to the National Championship game.
In other major games this week, the Oregon Ducks will welcome the UCLA Bruins to Eugene on Thursday along with the undefeated matchup of Big 12 rivals Oklahoma and Missouri in Columbia, Missouri on Saturday night.
With that being said, we can get to the picks for the BCS conference games this weekend for week 8…
