Comical Roy Hodgson and His Crazy Press Briefings

Martin McGinnisOct 18, 2010

Comical Roy:

“We didn't win the game and therefore people will read a lot of things into the performance. The result was bad but I refuse to accept it was a bad team performance.”

Comical Ali:

“The Americans are going to surrender or be burned in their tanks. They will surrender; it is they who will surrender."

Notice any difference between the two quotes, besides that they are talking about two different things?

Me neither, both are talking out their arse. Comical Ali gained cult status with his crazy press briefings. Amongst his greatest hits are explaining that there are no Americans in Baghdad, all the while an American tank can clearly been seen beside him.

Something in me, tells me that Roy has some of his greatest hits left to come.

The things is Roy Hodsgon should not be allowed an interview after the match anymore. He continues to make himself look senile as the quote above shows. The performance by Liverpool against Everton was lackluster and vindictive of the season we are having under Uncle Woy.

"I can't have any qualms in terms of the performance they gave. I can only hope people see it the same way. It was such a good game of football but everything revolves around the fact that Liverpool didn't win it."

Welcome to the big teams, Woy. Jeesh! Surely someone needs to explain to Roy that he is at a big club and not Fulham anymore? When you lose at Fulham it is not scrutinised as much as when you lose at Liverpool? Who would have thought that?

Hey Roy! Try being a Spanish manager with no media support and doing this job? Have your every decision whether transfer, tactics or man management under an intense microscope? The pressure is on Roy and he sinks further with a shameful comment about Denmark and Norway at his last press.

“Ah, two countries I never want to work in again.”

I can think of a club who might have the same comment for a certain English manager.
