Fantasy Football NFL Week 6: Studs, Duds and Bye-Week Replacements
Week six of the NFL season brings us yet another bye week. This week, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Arizona, and Carolina are taking the week off so rosters will need to be adjusted. In addition to that, last week was horrible for injuries. This week there are some good match ups to exploit. It will take some maneuvering, but there is still some talent on the waiver wire to fill the holes in your lineup. Here are you Studs, Duds, and Bye Week replacements for this week.
Studs-
Aaron Rogers QB-

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
His quick recovery from a concussion suffered last week has him listed as probable. Go for it and start him as usual. Miami has allowed quarterbacks to find the end zone frequently this season and Rogers should be able to put up monster numbers this week even without Jermichael Finley who is out indefinitely. Rogers will have a big day.
Ray Rice RB-
Rice has a very favorable match up this week against New England. The last time he saw the Patriots he went off during their playoff game last season to the tune of 159 yards and 2 touchdowns. With the awakening he experienced last week against Denver, the scene is set for a big day for Ray Rice.
Hakeem Nicks WR-
Two touchdowns last week to go with 130 yards receiving have Nicks skyrocketing in value. He has six touchdowns on the season and has become a must start player. This week, he goes against Detroit's pass inviting defense. Look for another huge game from Nicks.
Zach Miller TE-
Quietly, Miller has had a stud season to date. He has 248 yard receiving and 3 touchdowns in his last three games. There are wide receivers starting in the league that wish they had those numbers. Miller is no longer a roll of the dice.
Duds-
Jay Cutler QB-
I had faith early, but the weak offensive line and his inability to get rid of the ball have made him begin to look like he did last year. He may make a few big plays but the risk of getting hit in the head again and the fact that he will be on the ground again make him a risky play this week.
Steven Jackson RB-
Being a fan of a player doesn't and shouldn't change how you feel about their stats. He will see his 20+ touches as usual, but so far this season he has yet to fully capitalize on the touches. So far this season Jackson has only one 100 yard rushing game and scored one touchdown. I don't see the trend changing.
Marques Colston WR-
Tampa's defense is improved and Colston has slipped so far this year. Zero 100 yard receiving games and no touchdowns this season have me wondering if any Saints receiver is worth starting. If you feel like you wasted a high draft pick on this one, your not alone. Don't get bitten again.
Greg Olsen TE-
He has had a few decent games this season but he is coming off of a game where he caught zero passes. Of course it was Todd Collins under center but the match up for him this week and the uncertainty of how Cutler will perform make him the kind of player you wish you had a back up for.
Bye Week and Injury Replacements-
QB- Matt Cassel, Jason Campbell, and Chad Henne
Cassel has a dream match-up against the Texans and if ever there was a week for him to blossom, this is it. Campbell led two touchdown drives to beat a tough defense in San Diego and something may have clicked. Henne is the biggest roll of the dice but with the Packers banged up defense, he could have a decent game.
RB- Marshawn Lynch, BenJarvis Green-Ellis, and Brandon Jacobs
Lynch was given the starting nod after only two weeks with the team, further upping his value. Green-Ellis is the starting running back on a team that will be looking to run more, and Jacobs is facing the Lions who will probably be playing from behind most of the game giving the opportunity for more carries between Bradshaw and Jacobs.
WR- Danny Amendola, Brandon Tate, and Lance Moore
Amendola will be the new number one in St. Louis now and the Rams have been letting Bradford throw. Tate will be heavily relied on to be the new deep threat in New England and Lance Moore still has a some value because he is returning punts as well as running deep routes.
You still have time to set your lineups and find some help on the waiver wire. Good luck in week six of the NFL and your Fantasy Football match-ups.
