Redskins-Colts: Will Win Over the Colts Make Redskins a Super Bowl Contender?
NBC Sunday Night Football will set the stage for a battle between two potential playoff teams when the Indianapolis Colts face off against the Washington Redskins. The latest NFL football odds set by online sportsbooks have the Colts as three point favorites and the total set at 44.
The Redskins have been a surprise on the young season and have grabbed significant wins over playoff caliber clubs like the Eagles, Cowboys and Packers. A big reason for this uprising is the off season acquisition of quarterback Donovan Mcnabb. He has provided guidance and leadership to a team that was in desperate need. This week the Redskins will get their toughest test of the season when Peyton Manning and the Colts come to town.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Colts have struggled at times in losses to the Texans and the Jaguars, but not for the lack of effort by Manning. The shoe-in Hall-of-Famer is on pace for a career-high in yards, to produce his highest touchdown total since the 2004 season and post a career-low in interceptions.
If the Colts are going to win this game Manning may have to do it with a limited running game. Joseph Addai, the team’s leading rusher, and his backup Donald Brown could both miss this game with injuries. This will allow the Redskins defense to focus on the pass, and although it is nearly impossible to shut down Manning, the Redskins will have an edge with the lack of a Colts running attack to worry about.
The Redskins have the advantage in this game. They are at home and will have the crowd to back them up. The Colts are among the NFL’s worst at stopping the run at 142.2 yards allowed per game. This will permit the Skins to overpower smaller Colts defenders and set up play action to enhance the passing game.
The Redskins have excelled of late in the role as underdog, as they are 3-1-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last five games as an underdog. The coaching benefit is on the side of the home team. Mike Shanahan is one of the best in the business and has faced the Colts eight times in his career. He will have his team ready for this prime time war and the Redskins will emerge victorious once again.
