NFL 2011 Draft : Luck May Have Altered the Future Of Jake Locker
Many pundits of both college and professional football have tabbed Jake Locker as the first quarterback that will be drafted in 2011 long ago, but the landscape has possibly changed.
Locker has done little to hurt his stock this year, but others have appeared on the scene and may have surpassed him.
Here are a few quarterbacks who could have their names called as the first quarterback drafted in 2011:
Terrelle Pryor
1 of 5
He is only in his junior year, but Pryor is on fire right now.
The 6'6" 240 pound.youngster still is learning how to play quarterback, but his improvement daily is met with giant steps. His athleticism is also off the charts, causing NFL teams to drool at the thought of Pryor wearing their number.
Another year of learning and seasoning in college may be his best move, but he may not want to gamble on not getting hurt next year and hurting his draft position like Case Keenum apparently has.
If he wins the Heisman this year, Pryor could decide to go pro and it would be hard seeing another quarterback drafted ahead of him right now.
Andrew Luck

Luck is just a sophomore, but he already has pro scouts excited.
The son of former NFL quarterback Oliver, Luck has wowed people with his intelligence, intensity, and athleticism.
Though a sophomore, he is 21-years old and many feel he is the most NFL-ready quarterback in college football right now.
There is little chance right now that he bolts for the pros next year, but this could change if he wins the Heisman.
Cam Newton

This junior is very raw, but his upside is immense.
He spent his first two years of college watching Tim Tebow win games, so he bolted for Blinn College and led them to a championship.
This year has seen the 6'6" 250 pound quarterback has shown he is more developed than people expected.
It is obvious he needs more time and experience, so Newton looks likely to return to college next year.
However, he would be very hard to pass up if he decides to turn pro in 2011.
Newton is bigger, stronger, and faster than most quarterbacks on any level.
Kellen Moore
4 of 5
Moore is a serious contender for the Heisman this season. The redshirt junior may turn pro if guys like Pryor return to school next year.
Detractors point to his 6' height and arm strength, yet Locker is just 2" taller and has about the same arm strength.
Locker has been called a "right-handed Steve Young", and Young certainly proved one could succeed in the NFL with mediocre arm strength after having dink-dunked his way into Canton.
Like Young, all Moore does is win. What scouts love about him is intangibles you can't coach.
While his draft standing is said to stand between the first and third rounds, things could change if he hoists the Heisman this year.
If so, he may leave school a year early.
