College Football Week 7 Picks: Who Will Keep Their BCS Hopes Alive?
With the landscape of the Top 10 taking a shift this past weekend, the slate of games this week will let some of the other programs that rested behind Alabama a chance at being the top ranked team in the nation.
Among the major games this weekend, the near dominant Buckeyes will leave the confines of the Horseshoe as they travel to Madison to face off with the Badgers of Wisconsin in Ohio State’s first test in Big Ten conference play this season.
As the two programs play a physical style of football, the running game will be a highlight of the game as John Clay of Wisconsin and most notably Brandon Saine of the Buckeyes will help control the time of possession in this game.
Also in Big Ten country, the blazing Heisman contender Denard Robinson and Michigan will welcome Iowa to the Big House after the Wolverines were held in check by in-state rival Michigan State on Saturday.
The aforementioned Robinson will looked to be controlled by the impressive Iowa defense led by senior Adrian Clayborn as the playmaking quarterback of Michigan will look to lead the Wolverines back to the win column this weekend.
In game of the week in the SEC, the West leading Auburn Tigers will welcome the Arkansas Razorbacks to Jordan-Hare Stadium in a game that should light up the scoreboard in the south end of the stadium as the two SEC West rivals square off in Auburn.
The matchup of Auburn’s Cam Newton and Arkansas’ Ryan Mallet will be the key of the game as the two quarterbacks have been electric this season including big wins this past Saturday night against Kentucky and Texas A&M respectively.
With that being said, let’s get to the predictions for the major BCS conferences this coming week 7 of college football…
