Milan Preparing Bid for David Luiz While Tottenham Eye Bonera
Portuguese newspaper A Bolo is reporting that David Luiz has grabbed the attention of AC Milan, who are preparing a bid of about $28 million US for the Brazilian.
Luiz, 23, has been impressive for Portuguese side Benfica and has earned two caps for Brazil as Mano Menezes looks to 2014 with a new, young Brazil.
Luiz joined Benfica on loan in 2007 from Brazilian side Vitoria and has since appeared 101 times. He is known as a great young defender who can play the middle in a stopper position or at left back.

Milan are in need of a fullback as they have been caught out far too often on the counterattack this season, most notably against Lazio when Hernanes was able to get down the wing and whip in a cross to get the equalizer in the 81st minute of a 1-1 draw.
Milan's only consistent option at fullback is Luca Antonini, who has established himself as the club's left back since the middle of last season. If Luiz was to join, however, Antonini can easily adjust to playing on the right side.
Fellow giants Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester City have all expressed interest in the Brazilian.
Reports are also circling that Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move for Milan's Daniele Bonera, who has underperformed since his great showing against Lecce in the first round of Serie A. Tottenham have been eying several defenders as of late, but Bonera is the newest addition to the rumor list.
