Who Keeps Their BCS Hopes Alive? Predictions For Major Week 6 Games
The path to the National Championship game has begun to come a tad clearer after the weekend of action throughout the nation in the college football world.
The games of the week will be two interstate rivalries with conference title implications as league play has kicked into full gear this season.
The Jimbo Fisher-led Seminoles of Florida State will travel to their historic rival Miami Hurricanes for the marquee game of the ACC, a conference which has fell on hard times this season.
The matchup of the game would be the play of quarterbacks Christian Ponder of Florida State and Jacory Harris of Miami to help these two squads continue their upswing as of late after blowouts against Oklahoma and Ohio State respectively in early September.
While the ‘Noles and Hurricanes play in the Sunshine State, the two Michigan programs of the Big Ten meet in the Big House with potential Big Ten Championship thoughts in the Irish hills of the Great Lake State.
The Wolverines Heisman hopeful Denard Robinson will be coming off a two hundred yard passing and rushing, five touchdown game in a shootout with Indiana in Big Ten opener this past Saturday. The key matchup of the game will be the play of Robinson against the Spartan defense which might join the list of teams that have been burned by “Shoelace” this season.
In other games this week, Arkansas attempts to rebound from their heart-breaking loss to aforementioned Crimson Tide against former Southwest Conference rival Texas A&M coming off a blow of their own against Oklahoma State last Thursday.
After a drubbing by Alabama, the Gators of Florida will try to bounce back from their letdown against the most overrated Top 10 team this season as Jordan Jefferson and the LSU Tigers make a visit to the Swamp.
