Oregon Wins Big In GameDay Shootout With Stanford: The Epic Day in Photos
EUGENE, Ore. - ESPN's College GameDay made it's fifth appearance in Eugene on Saturday and with it came the hype, electricity, wild crowds, signs, Lee Corso and Erin Andrews. (Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler were there, too.)
The biggest football game of the day pitted Pac-10 powerhouses Oregon and Stanford in a battle of top ten schools looking to make a statement on the national stage.
When all was said and done, the speed and conditioning of the Oregon Ducks proved to be more effective than the Cardinal's smashmouth toughness and the NFL-prototypical quarterbacking of Andrew Luck. The 52-31 win was enough to earn the Ducks a #3 ranking in the polls.
Stanford played really tough, were well coached and all the fans I met in Cardinal Red were class acts. Their band was awesome as well.
Below is an animated slideshow of photos from the day. Enjoy, and Go DUCKS!
