Michael Vick: QB Controversy No More, Kolb Replaced as Starter for the Eagles
In a rather unsurprising move, coach Andy Reid, the Eagles front office, and coaching staff have decided to replace Kevin Kolb at QB with Michael Vick. This switch under center has been brewing over the past 2 days and the calls for a change have been growing for weeks.
"When someone is playing at the level Michael Vick is playing, you have to give him an opportunity. This isn't about Kevin Kolb's play. You're talking about Michael Vick as one the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now." - Coach Andy Reid
Reid has stated his faith and commitment in Kevin Kolb since his concussion. It is still unknown whether or not the front office pressured him into the decision, but it wouldn't come as a surprise if that was the case.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While Vick is not an elite signal caller, he is still a game changer. Since replacing Kolb at QB after his concussion, Vick has led the Eagles to an undefeated record. He has shown that he is still an electric talent capable of impacting the game on many levels.
Vick has posted back to back games of QB ratings over 100. His 103 rushing yards in Week 1 also shows that he still has the speed to make opposing defensive coordinators stay up at night.
The Eagles loss of starting center Jamaal Jackson has hurt the offensive line severely. Replacement Mike McGlynn looks lost at times and is struggling to protect Vick. This was apparent in last week's win over the Detroit Lions in which Vick was sacked six times. If it wasn't for his ability to scramble and improvise on his feet, he could have approached the double digit mark.
Eagles fans who are rabid about the release of Donovan McNabb in favor of Kevin Kolb are sure to be happy. This vindicates their belief in McNabb and lack of faith in Kolb. However, this puts a lot more pressure on the Eagles organization in light of their off-season trade.
It may not be long before Vick demands an extension.
