The Magnificent Eleven: The Best Team of the Last Decade

Ivan SoldoSep 21, 2010

It is really hard to create the best team of the past decade.

So many great football players showed us fantastic skills and commitment to the best sport in the world, football.

This is my personal best lineup of the past decade. I will use the 4-4-2 tactic.

And of course I expect you to write your opinions because I know that most of the people won't agree with me!

Thank you!

Goalkeeper: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid)

1 of 14

During his rich career, he has became synonymous to the epitome of great goalkeeping.

On the Spanish national team and Real Madrid, he won absolutely everything!

Recently, we all remember his great saves during the last World Cup in South Africa.

Left Back: Roberto Carlos (Real Madrid, Fenerbahce, and Corinthians)

2 of 14

There are two things on which we will remember Carlos: superhuman speed and free kicks.

He spent his best years in  Real Madrid creating confusion on the left side of the pitch.

We will all remember his crazy curled free kick in 1997 against France.

Centre Back: Paolo Maldini (Milan)

3 of 14

The Milan captain had already been playing 15 years before the start of this decade, most of them at a world class level, and he continued these outstanding performances.

Paolo Maldini is probably the greatest defender of all time and a lot of football fans say that.

His loyalty to AC Milan is just incredible.
