Jim The Anvil Neidhart Arrested and Other Wrestlers Gone Wild
Jim the Anvil Neidhart was arrested at a gas station after his bizarre behavior caused the police to be called.
Police arrested the former WWF tag-team champ after he allegedly swallowed and discarded pills.
He was charged with burglary after prescription drugs oxycontin and methadone stolen during a robbery at a friend's house were found in his possession.
Here's a closer look at the Anvil and several other wrestlers who have had brushes with the law in recent years.
Honorable Mention: Andre The Giant
Andre the Giant was arrested in lovely Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1989 after he pushed a cameraman.
He was charged with assault, but the charges were soon dropped and he was released.
Don't worry, the list gets much, much better.
No. 10: James "The Sandman" Fullington
Fullington was arrested in in 2008 after he was involved in a disturbance at a New York restaurant. Police witnessed him throwing glasses at employees and charged him with second-degree assault.
He was also ordered to undergo a psychiatric exam. I wonder how that went?
No. 9: Rob Van Dam
Van Dam was suspended by WWE in 2006 following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of marijuana and Vicodin. He plead guilty to a misdemeanor and paid a small fine for his troubles.
He wasn't the only wrestler to draw a suspension from the mishap...
No. 8: Sabu
Sabu was riding with Van Dam when they were stopped in West Virginia and was found with drug paraphernalia and nine Testolactone pills. He was also suspended and paid a $1,000 fine.
The fact that the two WWE stars were arrested together is common theme that will repeat itself throughout this list.
No. 7: Chris Jericho and Greg "Hurricane" Helms
Jericho and Helms were arrested earlier this year in Kentucky after a fight involving the two of them broke out in a cab.
The men were detained and charged with public intoxication. Helms allegedly got violent with Jericho and two other people in the cab but was not charged with assault.
They look so incredibly happy in their mug shots.
No. 6: Juventud Guerrera
Guerrera was arrested after he was spotted screaming wildly while running around naked. The wild scene led him to plead guilty to assault of a police officer, causing bodily harm, disorderly conduct and possession of ecstasy.
And, of course, willful exposure due to what had to have been a frightening display of nudity.
He paid a fine and was fired from WCW, but later found a home in the WWE.
No. 5: "The Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Enrich
Von Enrich's life was filled with tragedy and brushes with the law.
It began in 1992 when he was arrested and charged with falsifying prescriptions for drugs. He pled guilty to six counts of prescription forgery after the incident and was ordered to attend rehab.
In early 1993, he was indicted on cocaine possession and was set to go to jail after violating the terms of his parole.
He killed himself shortly after the indictment, becoming the third member of his family to commit suicide.
No. 4: "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair
Flair was arrested in 2005 after a road rage incident. He allegedly attacked a motorist and was charged with assault and battery.
Eventually, the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.
In February 2010, Flair's fourth wife was arrested after a domestic dispute with her husband at their North Carolina home. According to reports, he suffered minor cuts in the scuffle.
It's probably a good thing he never actually decide to run for political office.
No. 3: Kurt Angle
Angle was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in 2007 when Police pulled him over after he nearly struck a pedestrian.
He was eventually cleared of the charges, but his troubles weren't quite over.
In 2009, he was arrested after violating a protection order against his girlfriend. Police also charged him with possession of HGH.
No. 2: Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart
Who steals things from their friends? Apparently, Neidhart does.
He is accused of breaking into the back door of friend Mary Cutillo's house and snatching her pills valued at roughly $300, according to the Police report.
He was officially charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of home burglary and one count of grand theft.
No. 1: Iron Sheik and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan
Sheik and Duggan were pulled over together in New Jersey and arrested after an event.
Duggan was under the influence of marijuana and drunk while Sheik was suspected to be high on cocaine.
The arrest of the two rivals who were partying together didn't sit well with WWF fans. Sheik was placed on probation for a year and Duggan was granted his conditional release.
