The Padres got on the board early when Ty France drove in a run in the top of the first, and San Diego made it 2-0 in the fifth inning on a fielder's choice. The Brewers finally got on the board in the bottom of the fifth when Sal Frelick drove in Christian Yelich.
France gave the Padres a cushion in the top of the seventh with an RBI single, but Milwaukee cut the lead back down to one run when the Brewers scored on an error.
After keeping San Diego off the board in the top of the ninth, the Brewers had one last chance to force extras or win the game.
Yelich drew a one-out walk and stole second before Frelick was walked. Gary Sánchez then drew a two-out walk to load the bases for Chourio, and the 22-year-old delivered the walk-off on the sixth pitch of the at-bat.
After swinging the momentum of the series with an exciting win, the Brewers will head to San Diego for Game 3 on Tuesday.
