Great Day To Be a Duck: 72 Surreal Images from Oregon's Season Opener

On Saturday September 4th, the Oregon Ducks tied the record for the most points ever scored at Autzen Stadium in their epic beat down of the New Mexico Lobos.

It was the perfect way for a Ducks squad plagued by off-season distractions to get back into the national spotlight for reasons Oregon fans and Coach Kelly would prefer.

The following is a true Bleacher Report.  All action shots were taken from the 77th row of section 25 at Autzen Stadium.  All the shots of the best fans in the Pac-10 were taken on and around the stadium proper.

There are 72 images in honor of the 72 points scored by the Ducks.  There are zero stock images from AP, Getty or Google in honor of the amount of points the Lobos were able to score on Gang Green. 

Here it is, the view from the Autzen bleachers for the season kick-off.  It's cheap seat photojournalism at its most psychedelic.  

As if Eugene needed any help with that...

I shot everything with a Canon T2i body, Sigma 70-300mm lens, Canon 430EX II flash and a monopod.  The ethereal look some of the photos have is the product of level and noise adjustments in Photoshop CS5 and the Topaz Adjust plug in.
