Drum Roll Please: NCAA Rankings Top 30 College Football Fight Songs

The single greatest advantage that college football has over the NFL is their fight songs.

Nothing sounds as good after a magnificent touchdown or triumphant win like drums and brass. It is something that could literally drive you to tears. At times it will give you goosebumps all over your body as you hear the chanting/singing crowd going along with the music.

Special are those moments when your team crosses the goal line and soon as the player enters the end zone that fight song starts to blare.

You sing the words at the top of your lungs taking pride in your university along with its colors and team.

The deafening sound consumes you and for a moment you are more than just an individual. At that second you become part of a grand mass. In unison you are all swayed and moved by the experience and feeling.

This thrill is what brings back alumni year after year, season after season, game after game.

They long to relive those days when they had young blood flowing through their veins. When their biggest concern was next weeks mid term exam and whether the kegs would be enough for all the people coming to the party.

For some it reminds them of afternoons in the sunshine when they were in that very stadium with family or loved ones rooting your team on to victory.

It is sublime when that music fills the air. You pump your fists and scream in ecstatic joy the second the last note is played.

At one point in time this was my favorite fight song in all of college football. It's an absolute classic that is great to listen to when the fans are chanting/singing along.

Cheer Cheer for old Notre Dame. Wake up the echoes cheering her name.

Easy to see why this one was number one on our list. The Top 3 could have gone any which way. We got Notre Dame on top because the second a college football fan hears this song they instantly think of Fighting Irish Football.

Cal Vs Stanford & The Band

Stanford versus Cal. Can't believe the video creator misspelled Stanford.... easy to guess that he/she wasn't a student there.
