All-Time Miami Hurricane NFL Depth Chart

The Miami Hurricanes are all set to kickoff another promising season of college football tonight against Florida A&M. 

The University of Miami has quite a legacy of NFL stars.

A grand total of 266 Miami Hurricane players have gone on to the NFL, including 41 active players, 51 pro-bowlers and four Hall of Famers.

Hurricane players have scored an incredible 1,390 NFL Touchdowns. Only three schools have scored more NFL touchdowns(Notre Dame, USC, and Ohio State).

So lets look back on some of the great NFL 'Canes and put together the All-Time Miami Hurricane NFL Depth Chart

Quarterback

Starter: Jim Kelly

Jim Kelly is a five-time pro-bowler and Hall of Famer. In 11 NFL seasons with the Buffalo Bills, Kelly compiled an incredible 101-59 record and threw 237 touchdowns.

Backup: Vinny Testaverde

Vinny Testaverde played more than 20 seasons in the NFL, making it to two pro-bowls and throwing for more than 46,000 yards.

Running Back

Starter: Edgerrin James

Edgerrin James is a four-time pro-bowler in the NFL. He has had seven 1,000-yard seasons and has rushed for 80 touchdowns in his career.

Backup: Frank Gore

Frank Gore is still in the early stages of his NFL career but has already made the pro-bowl twice. He has rushed for at least 1,000 yards in four consecutive seasons and is looking to make it five this year.

Third String: Clinton Portis

Clinton Portis is a two-time pro-bowler with six 1,000-yard seasons and 73 touchdowns under his belt.

Full Back

Starter: Chuck Foreman

Chuck Foreman had an impressive seven year career with the Minnesota Vikings. He went to the pro-bowl five times and scored 53 touchdowns.

Backup: Don Bosseler

In eight seasons with the Washington Redskins, Don Bosselor scored 22 touchdowns and made it to 1 pro-bowl.

#1 Receiver: Michael Irvin

Michael Irvin is a Hall of Famer and 3-time NFL Champion. He had seven 1,000-yard seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and made 7 pro-bowls, including 1 pro-bowl MVP.

#2 Receiver: Andre Johnson

Andre Johnson is widely regarded as the one of the two best wide recievers in the NFL. In seven seasons, Johnson has caught for 1,000 yards four times and made the pro-bowl four times.

#3 Receiver: Reggie Wayne

Reggie Wayne is working on six straight 1,000-yard seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. He is a four-time pro-bowler.

#4 Receiver: Santana Moss

Santana Moss has had three 1,000-yard seasons in his career and 1 pro-bowl.

Tight End

Jeremy Shockey is a four-time pro-bowler with over 5,000 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns.

Backup: Bubba Franks

Bubba Franks is a two-time pro-bowler with over 2,000 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns.

Ed Reed is a six-time pro-bowler with 46 interceptions and eight defensive touchdowns.
