Ten Bold Predictions for the 2010 College Football Season
FINALLY, College Football is BACK this weekend. Here are 10 Bold Predictions for the 2010-2011 Season.
Boise State goes Undefeated but DOES NOT play for the National Championship
1 of 11
First Step. Beat Virginia Tech in Game 1. Will Do.
Second Step. Beat Everyone else on the schedule by 40. Will Do.
Third Step. Be the first Non BCS Conference Team in the BCS National Championship Game. As Game Day's Lee Corse would say "Not So Fast My Friend". A one loss Big 12, Big 10, or SEC team will all look a lot more impressive when you compare them head to head to Boise State at the end of the season.
Pittsburgh wins a very boring Big East
2 of 11
Is their a single Big East game worth watching this year? I can't find one. Pitt wins a very average conference. Ok, that's it for the Big East until Basketball Season.
ACC finally gets it right. Miami vs. Florida State.
3 of 11
When the ACC started it's current format, the idea was a Florida State vs. Miami Championship Game every year, hasn't happened yet, Miami yet to even make it to the game. 2010, is the Year, Miami wins on a FSU wide right last second Field Goal attempt.
USC Regains it's spot at the top of Pac 10

Still the most talent, and now they are PISSED!!!
Oregon is full of off field issues and breaking in a new QB. Stanford and Washington will have the high profile QB's, but can't match USC overall.
No Rose Bowl, but USC finishes the Pac 10 on top.
Ohio State is dethroned in the Big 10.
5 of 11
Preseason #2 Ohio State is a lot people's favorite to be in the National Championship Game, and even more think they will win their 6th straight Big 10 Championship. @Wisconsin, @Iowa, and vs. Penn State, will be too tough. Ohio State will still sneak into a BCS Bowl Game, but streak of conference championships end at 5. Give me Iowa in 2010.
REVENGE #1
6 of 11
After beating up Florida in last year's SEC Championship, Alabama will follow up that with a close win in Tuscaloosa on October 2nd. But, after a full season under center, QB John Brantley gives Florida it's Revenge in the SEC Championship Game.
REVENGE #2
7 of 11
Texas almost had their National Championship Game dreams ended by a man named SUH!!! and the new Bo Pelini Blackshirts. No Suh in 2010, but the Blackshirts will still be a Top 10 Defense, and the offense has to be better (it can't be worse). Nebraska get's its revenge on the Longhorns Oct. 16th in Lincoln
Big 12 Championship Game goes out with how it was meant to
8 of 11
Nebraska vs. Oklahoma. What is a more fitting ending to the Big 12 Championship Game, and the conference as we know it? Probably be the last time these teams meet for years.
It might not be 1971 and the Game of the Century, but still a must watch. Nebraska takes the final Big 12 Championship.
Army Beats Navy
9 of 11
No National Championship implications, No Conference Championship implications, but still for every American a must watch.
Navy has won 8 straight, starting just months before troops went into Baghdad, Combat Troops Out, Streak OVER!!
GO ARMY BEAT NAVY!!!
Heisman Trophy
10 of 11
Last years winner Mark Ingram, will start the season on the sidelines with an injury, and spend the rest of the year splitting carries with Trent Richardson.
Andrew Luck and Jake Locker are the best NFL Prospects, but won't win enough games.
Case Keenum, Andy Dalton, and Kellen Moore will win a lot of games and but up the stats, but questionable competition.
John Brantley shows Florida there is life after Tebow, struggling a bit with his first real test at Alabama, but puts up huge numbers the rest of the year and in the rematch, takes the trophy.
1 Loss National Champion
11 of 11
1 Loss Florida, 1 Loss Nebraska, 1 Loss Iowa, USC Not Eligible, Multiple loses for Pittsburgh and Miami being your major conference winners, Boise State and TCU undefeated seems perfect for Boise State and TCU. Won't happen.
1996 Rematch, Nebraska beats Florida.
I felt a lot better about this before Corso picked it, but I will stick with it.
