Its almost the end of the summer transfer market and here were are to take a look and assess all the players Barcelona football club has purchased. The team that was more than amazing to watch last year was exposed by Jose Mourinho in the Champions League Semi-final leg at San Siro. Strikers : The attacking force, even though one of the best in the world lacked a dimension to it liked it had the year before it. The new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic started off well but then was hit by injury crisis and that led to a dip in his form. Thierry Henry who was Barcelona's best striker in the previous seasons was injured for most of the season and when he was not injured he was on the bench. Somehow he had lost his pace and finishing and it was Pedro Rodriguez who took his spot. The only answer to this was DAVID VILLA. El Gauje has already scored his first goal for the club and looks set to do the same during this season. His ability to torment defenders with his ball control and clinical finishing makes him and FC Barcelona a match made in heaven.

Defense : The defence during the previous season looked tired, specially during the later stages. The defenders like Puyol, Milito and Abidal are into their 30's and cannot be expected to play 2 games a week through out the season and perform at their best. They need to be rotated. Daniel Alves and Maxwell were few of the best players of the club during the season. The introduction of ADRIANO gives the defense a new dimension because of the players ability to play anywhere on either wings.

By the looks of it, Barcelona team is much better than the one last season but only time could tell what difference it makes on the field.
