Milan are looking to strengthen the back line. The central defense is pretty much confirmed, with Alessandro Nesta and Thiago Silva expected to start. Luca Antonini is anticipated to be the left back.
While Gianluca Zambrotta is the projected right back, there is a need to look to the future, as Zambrotta is 32.
Bocchetti, 23 is primarily a center back, but can also play fullback. Sokratis can also play fullback, but is much better suited in the middle.
Bocchetti has made 60 league appearances for Genoa since joining in 2008 and was a member of the Italian National Team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
"It's too early to say regarding the move, even if Genoa and Milan are negotiating, but the club definitely want Salvatore," agent Andrea D'Amico told Calcionews24.![]()
"In all honesty, I think he is a player worthy of Milan. For now he is concentrating on his preseason, as it is crucial for his fitness throughout the year. If he will be wearing a Genoa or Milan jersey this year remains to be seen."
