Goal.com is reporting that AC Milan have agreed to personal terms with Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Milan have been linked to the Swedish international for weeks now. After much speculation, it appears that the Rossoneri are prepared to bring the superstar back to the San Siro, where he scored 66 goals in 116 matches with Milan's city rivals Inter Milan.

The Swede arrived at the Nou Camp last summer in much pomp and circumstance in a transfer worth a total of $99 million US.

Since his arrival, fans and critics have slammed Ibrahimovic for seemingly not showing up in the big matches. Despite these claims, Ibrahimovic has netted 22 times in 42 matches for the Catalan giants, most recently in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup.

“Zlatan is really happy to join the Rossoneri and is delighted that they will be in the Champions League," Italian based company Mediaset journalist Carlo Pellegatti has said. "This was a key factor for him.”

Milan and Barcelona are expected to hold discussions on Wednesday, when Milan will be at the Nou Camp for the Gamper Trophy match between the two clubs.

The expected deal would see Ibrahimovic join Milan, with his wages from the Italian club valued at nearly $7.6 million US. The rest of the wages would be paid by Barcelona.

The match on Wednesday is the final preseason warm-up before the Serie A season opens Sunday against Lecce.
