Nicolas Anelka Insults France and French Soccer Federation

Roberto Alvarez-GallosoAug 18, 2010

Nicolas Anelka was recently handed an 18 match ban from French Football/Soccer for his role in the disgraceful performance of his team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

His response was to laugh at the decision of the French Football Federation or FFF and to insult them by calling them clowns.

Anelka further added salt to an already open wound in the FFF by saying that he does not want to play for France anymore.

The declarations of the disgraced player for France which included a lack of desire to play for France before the 2010 World Cup, and his preference for Chelsea instead of the French Uniform reflects arrogance, gratitude, and an insulting attitude towards his country.

Anelka should have refused to play when the FFF invited him (if this was so) to participate in the 2010 World Cup.

Anelka was one of the most important players in France. He was revered in his country and the world. The numerous companies in France catered to this athlete and others in the disastrous 2010 French team.

Anelka was held in high esteem by young and old in France. He had the country on his feet.

What was the response of Anelka?

What Anelka did was to take the dreams of young and old in France and flush it down the toilet. He showed a lack of respect towards the FFF Authorities as well as the authorities in his country.

He then continues his rant against France like if he was entitled to all of the admiration and respect. Anelka maybe one of the greatest football/soccer players in his time but he is a disgrace to his country and sport.

I would like to advise the Chelsea FC to keep an eye on Anelka. My reason is that if he could talk trash about his country and its football/soccer association, he could do the same thing with Chelsea FC or any other club.
