Mesut Ozil to Real Madrid: Predicting the Starting XI for Los Blancos

Real Madrid have once again shocked the footballing powers with a move for German World Cup sensation Mesut Ozil. Widely chased after by some of England's powerhouses, its seems the Spanish magic has worked its ways to ensure Madrid have the last laugh.

So what will this mean for La Liga and in terms of the title aspirations? How will the Portuguese boss balance his squad in a serious bid to challenge for all honors this season?

As the news has just surfaced, there has been no confirmation on how much Madrid have agreed to pay Werde Bremen.

So as we gear up for another action-packed season in Spain, let's take a quick preview at the possible starting 11 on an average basis for Real.

One thing certain, Mourinho will have to juggle his players around ensuring he keeps all his superstars happy and satisfied.

This formation gives Mourinho the option to have enough men behind the ball with Alonso and Khedira able to fall back, but at the same time the balance to attack in numbers with Ozil and Di Maria working the wings.

Madrid also have more flexibility now with the addition of Ozil; he can inter-link with Ronaldo who can play in basically any position upfront. Ronaldo may switch to the wing and allow Mesut to fall inside and feed the striker.

As we have already seen Ronaldo in the striking positions, Madrid, who has always been an attacking team, can continue their usual style while having the assurance of good defensive cover with Carvalho at the back, another new signing. 

As some stage Ricardo Kaka will return from injury, he will be another "star" player who will get first team opportunity, probably in place of Di Maria.

Also with regards to Ozil, who could be slowly played into Spanish football, Madrid have enough quality available to start the season with Van der Vaart, Benzema, and Lass all available.

Remember the new inclusions of Pedro Leon and Canales have also impressed during preseason.

Nevertheless, looking ahead to the opening weekend in La Liga, it seems to be reaching the peak and great anticipation and excitement surrounding the two foremost powerhouses in Real Madrid and Barcelona.

While a few days ago many felt Barca out-whipped their rivals in the transfer market this season, it seems Los Blancos left the best for last.
